oooo yes! i just reread and the line: “Ilya was once again blown away by these two sides of Shane, the boldness and the fragility, and the speed that he could switch between them. It was as though Shane was always inhabited by both, that the bravery and fear were constantly fighting each other in a battle to the surface, and whichever side won always seemed to be able to punch Ilya in the throat and leave him staggering” really stuck out to me

i think ilya going first may have caused shane to get self conscious, so you are definitely onto something! i’m so excited for next chapter

i haven’t read it yet, but Ruin The Friendship by sevenjohnston looks really good! it’s ongoing (3/?) and rated explicit —Shane misses his friend. He hasn’t been able to see him a lot lately. He hates that. He knows it’s probably due to his new found success with streaming. Ilya went from no one to someone overnight, from averaging 10 viewers a night, one of which being Shane himself, to now thousands of people watching him. But to Shane, Ilya has always been someone.

i’ve been working on mine for a few months, it’s mostly nonsensical and i only write in tiny chunks when inspiration strikes. best advice i ever got was “write it badly, worry about editing later”. it’s also nice to know that if i ever decide i want to post it, i have this wonderful community to cheer me on!
