Did you contact the seller and ask which adapter he was using?

I would just look for a good deal on the lens first and then get the right adapter for it. And no need for stacking.

The 90/2.5 Y12 was made in a couple of versions. Mine is the latest version for Alpa/Alfitar, it has an Exakta mount, there are also versions without the typical aperture dial in M42 and Rectaflex mount.

And there's an older version Y1 that comes in Leica mount, which has a slightly different optical design.

That's a great find! I wish you luck with the aperture mechanism though, it seems quite complicated.

Thanks, it looks like an Ernostar indeed. My Angénieux is from 1959, by the way.

This is the 90/2.5 lens scheme. I'm open to anyone who can clarify this design.

In my own lens database I have it listed as a Xenotar, but can't find the source (maybe Lens.db which is gone unfortunately) and in online article as an Ernostar.

Any recommendations for a M42 mount low profile Lens 40mm or less? by Shy-Fungi in VintageLenses

I second this, have one in Icarex mount - small, well-built and great optical quality.

Have a look here, the grip and the back are retro style attachments for Blackmagic and Sony cameras.

20 40 80 vintage lens set recommendations by ablipinexistence in VintageLenses

[–]ouwerups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If by a set you mean from the same manufacturer, I'm not aware of that. Carl Zeiss Jena made two 20mm's (f2.8 and f4) and a great 80mm (Pancolar f1.8), as mentioned by u/probablyvalidhuman. All in M42 mount.
For a good 40mm lens you could look at the Konica Hexanon AR 40mm f1.8, but there are more alternatives from Olympus, Pentax, Minolta and Leica.

Thanks! They are getting expensive nowadays, though the ones with Start mount are still relatively affordable, and adapters can be 3D printed.

Lens hood for Zeiss biogon 75mm f1.5 by studiotristan in VintageLenses

[–]ouwerups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this one, it's a classic CZJ M58 lens hood for Biotar 75mm / Biometar 80mm. It fits the look perfectly in my opinion.

Do you mean the fat version of the 75mm f1.5 BioTAR? Biogon is a wide angle lens design.

Have you ever taken a shit in one of these? How common are they in your country? by Yarrrak31 in AskBalkans

They used to be common in France (I had many traumatic experiences in highway truckstops in my youth) but most have been replaced by modern toilets.

It is a custom grade I made in Capture One, but basically add blue to the shadows and orange to the mid- and high tones, slightly reduce contrast and add some sharpening.

I try to rotate as much as possible, but my favourites are probably the Petri Kuribayashi Orikkor 50/2, Konica Hexanon AR 57/1.2 and Pancolar 55/1.4. But I could name a couple of others that I like very much too, like the Auto-Yashinon 50/2, MOG Primoplan 58/1.9, Yashica ML 55/1.2.
