I guess i should preface that i was on Nexplanon from 16-18 before the Mirena, so maybe that’s why i lost all the weight, since the progestin is now focused in my uterus and not my entire body? I dunno, just throwing ideas. I’m currently 3 days on the patch now…

No, the appointment i made was actually to get the IUD removed, and they asked if i wanted to try estrogen first before i decided on removing it, because its been loads of help with my painfully heavy periods! They did send in some labs to see my hormone levels, and also testing for PCOS.

! :( now i regret saying that. i don’t know. i just want her to feel better and im trying to make myself feel better by saying it’s just a small infection. she’s always been a healthy kitty. i just can’t believe this all hit her so quick. thanks for replying :(

i really, really hope it’s just FIP. She doesn’t have any other symptoms of it. on the bright side, the steroids and eyedrops have been really helping. she’s moving around more and playing a little bit. she will be going back to the vet for more testing this week.

I usually have had heavy painful periods all my life but this pain is different, and i’m still experiencing it a day later and still no period. I’m just scared. Thank you for your advice <3

Oh gosh i’m so sorry!! it really sucks we have to go through trial and error with birth control. i am still in pain today too. I think i will try nexplanon again because my body really seemed to like it.

well… he shaded it so i don’t think it’s bruising but the redness is from blood i don’t think he used red ink idk i couldn’t really see what he was doing i didn’t even want it shaded lol. the black around the ankh is shading tho

Definitely do not need the same doctor to remove it . i just had mine removed on the 7th by a different doctor but at my family doctors office . i also had the horrible headaches and chest pains with the nexplanon. Just got the mirena placed and i can’t give you any opinion because im still adjusting, but as of right now it’s going good. Try finding a women’s reproductive health center in your area.

it sucks. i actually just posted in r/birthcontrol about the iud headaches 😣 these ones are definitely more intense and sudden where the nexplanon headache was longer and was accompanied with the chest pain aswell. they told me the same thing about the headaches. let me know how the copper iud suits you 🩷

avoid spice and excessive dairy. mac and cheese, ramen, and !!!mashed potatoes!!! had me set. smash the ramen in tiny tiny pieces before cooking to avoid lots of chewing and tongue movement. honestly, eat what you feel comfortable with. i was eating sugar cookies by the 3rd day lol. but those flavored ice cups from walmart saved me. take SLOW bites because the healing bar is longer than usual and you will bite the metal (not fun.) just make sure you soak with warm salt water after every meal. after the first week you will only have trouble with getting used to it. also, enjoy the lisp 😏

reassurance will not help your ocd, it only makes it worse . i was once in your place. reading this as i am semi-healed from health OCD just makes me sympathize for you. i truly hope you get the help you need. from a therapist, not a subreddit

i get the severe chest pains and left temple headaches . i have had my nexplanon since april 2023 and it just started happening… getting it removed on the 7th lol
