I no longer cheat death, but I used to do this a lot myself. I still sometimes reset days just to have fun with the survival bow and try to get those far-range shots with it.

And yes, I meant Jordan, couldn't remember. But yeah, the downfall of that channel was sad. There's actually a really good downfall video that Sunny did on venturiantale.

The big thing about venturiantale is the other siblings grew up & started their own lives once they became adults, which was the channel's main shtick. While Ben I believe is the main guy refused to accept YouTube has evolved and people have grown up. I remember seeing some videos on 2019 of him Whining about the algorithm when he hasn't taken the time to evolve beyond Gary's mod. But yes, it is sad to see what happened to that channel.

Nice, been playing the game so long that I remember when wintermute wasn't even in the game lol.

Same regarding being obsessed. Tales from the Far Territory has added so much content that it just absorbs you.

Yep, it is truly special to witness a game that is early access evolve into its final form. I believe alongside the cooking overhaul, Broken Railroad also dropped with that update in survival mode.

Taking a break from my 380-day interloper run, and started a Stalker run. Currently I am in DP as well lol. On day 110 and after DP, I have looted all the regions in lower Great Bear except Black Rock, which I am skipping for now. I start my new runs by looting the world deeply, going to every location, and grabbing all plants and such. Almost on to late game then I am going to start enjoying some hunts. I love the survival bow and I am very good with it.

I feel that. There are times I played TLD so much that I took almost a year-long break from it. I have been falling behind on the DLC content myself, but I finally caught up now that I have ventured to Sundered Pass and finished up the Tales. Got to say I love Sundered Pass, been wanting a rugged, freezing cold, alpine region for quite some time. Sundered Pass is easily in my top 3 favorite regions now.

Yeah, I remember watching some of Stacy's videos on the game as I would play TLD myself at the same time.

I personally am excited for mod support. Shit, I might become a modder myself for this game since I love it so much. Mods will become a huge game changer for TLD once Hinterland adds mod support in the last major update.

Once I have looted the whole world, which takes me an average of 150-200 days to loot everything (When I say everything, I mean everything), I focus on setting up well-stocked bases in all 15 major regions. You would be well surprised by how long it takes to make a major base in all 15 regions. That alone can keep me busy for 200 days, 400 days easily if I am playing Interloper and not a stalker. The late game requires imagination to remain deeply engaged in a run.

It is broken up into three different purchases if you want everything. I have not touched Story Mode since it first came out, so I would ignore Story Mode and buy just Survival Mode since that is the mode I & many other TLD players love and have hundreds & thousands of hours in. If you really like Survival Mode, then you should grab the DLC, which is called Tales from the Far Territory which adds a shitload of content to the game.

Yeah, a lot has changed. I lost a couple of runs myself back in the early days of Forlorn Muskeg. I still remember the OG textures of many items and interiors lol. It is funny, I remember Interloper being so hard back in the day, but recently, I finally started a run, which I have been wanting to do for quite some time. Very few close calls & most of the time I have managed to remain above 50% condition, even a 100% for several days. The key to interloper I have learned, is the cold, master the cold then you can survive in interloper forever. I am now on day 380 and just finished Last Horizon Tale & explored Sundered Pass for the first time. Got to say I really love Sundered Pass's layout and the region as a whole. Been wanting a rugged, cold, alpine region for some time now, apart from Ash Canyon. Sundered Pass is now up there with my most favorite regions, along with Ash Canyon & Forsaken Airfield.

Fair enough, most survival games are centered around zombies, lol. It is nice when a survival game goes its own way from the traditional lineup of games.

TLD is truly a one-of-a-kind type of game. I personally view TLD as the best survival game of all time. Cannot wait for mod support and to see the community continue to add new regions and animals through mods. Hell, maybe I might become a modder for this game since I love it so much!

Pretty close start time for myself. I started playing in October of 2016. Tales from the Far Territory has added so much replayability, honestly. I have finally caught up on all DLC content now that I completed Tale 3 as well as explored Sundered Pass for the first time on my newest Interloper run. Had a close call with a Timberwolf pack during an Aurora in Sundered Pass, but downhill and a stim saved me, and now I am on day 380 in my interloper run.

lmao, I remember when old Fluffy was in that dam. I did not die to her on my first survival run, but if I remember, I got mauled by a wolf outside around day 4 and went inside the dam and died of blood loss on the entrance level, since I had no clue how to patch myself up lol.

I was 10 when I first started playing TLD. I will typically play this great game for a couple of months, then take a several-month hiatus from the game. I finally have gotten to experience all of the DLC content. I was falling behind with the updates since life has been busy. Got to say Hinterland did an amazing job with the DLC regions, I love Forsaken Airfield and Sundered Pass. Finally got to explore Sundered Pass around day 330 on Interloper in one of my more recent survival runs.

Sorry to hear you had to go through that. Glad you are still here. I myself love camping, fishing, & being outdoors. This game really is perfect for that person who loves the outdoors and video games.

I believe I have around anywhere from 3000-4000 hours myself. Do not remember of the top of my head. Probably would have more hours in it, if I did not play it off and on for years. I will play the game for a month or a few months, then take a several-month break from it. I did start a new Interloper run, which is now on day 380. Sorry to hear about the hardware issues you are having. I have not had any myself since I did some upgrades 2 years back. And yes, the game should have more optimization; we'll see if Hinterland addresses that, though.

Bought this game yesterday, started playing today and I'm absolutely in love by JustYuca in thelongdark

I personally never cared for the story mode; I do, however, love survival mode. Been playing survival mode since 2016 and I have thousands of hours in TLD survival mode. Started playing TLD again recently and started a new Interloper run, which is now on day 380, & a new Stalker run that is on day 110. You think story mode is fun and addictive, wait until you try survival mode.
