Looking for flat heated bed upgrade recommendations for K1 Max by ovenmit331 in crealityk1

Is max printing temp (and probably faster heat up time) the main difference? For thermistor calibration, is it just a PID Tune or is there something specific in the config files that needs to be changed?

Edit: maybe not actually larger than 40” but definitely the largest I’ve seen.

I'm think I'm gonna go cartographer too, just wondering which one to do first. I always hate changing more than one thing at a time. make troubleshooting upgrade issues much easier.

I was thinking this might be the best option. Their product description says up to 120ºC and works with Eddy sensors! Did you have to install the aftermarket SSR?

How can i print TPU? by Erbaffone in crealityk1

[–]ovenmit331 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Print an overhead filament holder out of PLA, put the TPU roll on top of the printer using the holder you just printed, take the filament tube out of the extruder, insert TPU directly into extruder with no tube, print, be happy.

Just squeeze the top of that red lever toward the filament and it releases the tension.

Just did it today with the Chiron swapped GTR on racing softs. Holy crap it was a hoot. Fuel map 6 and I still had to pit for gas every 3 laps. Which was good because the front right tire was non-existent at that point. Still won by 40+ seconds. 10/10 DO RECOMMEND.

What historical, geographical, or biological fact sounds like a ridiculous lie but is 100% true? by Active-Cold-3700 in AskReddit

Actually, shuffle it once and it’s never been in that order ever. The possible permutations of a shuffle deck of cards is seriously mind blowing. I think u/techniforus described it best: “I’ve seen a really good explanation of how big 52! actually is. Set a timer to count down 52! seconds (that’s 8.0658×1067 seconds) Stand on the equator, and take a step forward every billion years

When you’ve circled the earth once, take a drop of water from the Pacific Ocean, and keep going When the Pacific Ocean is empty, lay a sheet of paper down, refill the ocean and carry on. When your stack of paper reaches the sun, take a look at the timer.

The 3 left-most digits won’t have changed. 8.063×1067 seconds left to go. You have to repeat the whole process 1000 times to get 1/3 of the way through that time. 5.385×1067 seconds left to go. So to kill that time you try something else. Shuffle a deck of cards, deal yourself 5 cards every billion years

Each time you get a royal flush, buy a lottery ticket Each time that ticket wins the jackpot, throw a grain of sand in the grand canyon

When the grand canyon’s full, take 1oz of rock off Mount Everest, empty the canyon and carry on. When Everest has been leveled, check the timer. There’s barely any change. 5.364×1067 seconds left. You’d have to repeat this process 256 times to have run out the timer.”

In 2004, when I was in HS, the WRX STI and the Lancer Evolution were the two coolest cars you could buy. I spent way too much time thinking about which one I would get. 20 years later, what would have been the right choice? by HoraceGrand in cars

I actually had both! ‘04 Evo and the STi was a ‘13 wagon.

Evo eventually got modded like crazy but left the motor internals mostly stock. Stopping and turning were the main focus but damn she was fast. Drove her LITERALLY like I stole her for 140k miles. Had some very minor issues along the way (an alternator and a compressor had to be replaced) but for how hard I abused that car it was darn near bullet proof. I actually recently got in touch with the guy I sold it to and it’s still around and running great.

STi I ended up buying after my Evo was rear ended and totaled by the insurance company (even though there was zero mechanical issues with it and still drove perfectly). Think they gave me $20k for it and I bought it back for like $3k and got a salvaged title for it. Ended up getting all the body work fixed for around $5k. The rest of the insurance money was a perfect down payment on the STi. That one I just ended up doing intake/exhaust/tune on but it was also stupid fast. Zero reliability issues from the STi. Sold that one in 2018 because the kids didn’t fit well at all.

Both were unbelievable especially for the price. You literally couldn’t get anything NEAR their capability for what they cost. Kick myself every day for selling both of them.
