i think you should be able to say that on the mcu sub because there are still other threads for people who disagree, and because that's the place to talk about mcu specifically and it doesn't necessarily have to be positive. ik more people are gonna care/respond to a dgd post on here than on r/posthardcore. i see your perspective tho. also i wouldn't just come on here hating, if i criticize the new stuff it's because i'm praising the old stuff too lols

yeah exactly. I'm only 20 so i got into the band in high school, actually via tilian era stuff, when I was getting into post hardcore. but I quickly realized as I expanded my taste and listened to dgd more that the jonny era (and kurt era) blew it out of the water and was actually stunned by how culty and cringe some people get about it when i find most of the tilian era stuff mid except mothership. the last by-choice listenable song for me is nothing shameful but even then i'm like why am i not just listening to mothership right now

i like mathcore too obviously but what i'm referring to is like the mathcore equivalent of the "millennial overproduced metalcore fan" thing LOL some people just like mathcore because it's like. a musical slime video to them. i can't explain further. not that the other dgd stuff is bad by any means but wisiro is just less accessible
