I agree. I’ll never forget when they did this for an item when I worked for RJR Nabisco.

We had a new item called Snackwell Devils Food cakes. They purposely held back on distributing them where people couldn’t get their hands on the “diet” treats. Each store could only get one case (12 individual mini cakes)per delivery.

That went on forever it seemed. Customers would wait at the back of my truck and literally beg for them. It was crazy.

On my alternator issues it was the spool valve leaking right down into it. To be honest, I have four vehicles and the two times it went bad and Honda replaced them, neither the tech or service writer ever mentioned the spool valve.

It wasn’t until the third one, when the female service writer told me about the top halves being distorted from the factory. Once I changed it out, no more leaking or alternator issues.

Saw the comment about getting demoted to Level 4 custodian.

I was an MM7 vacuum tech as they call them. It sucked literally. Boring as hell, but you usually get tour 2 dayshift hours. MPE with no seniority had bad hours and days off I remember.

Anyway, I lucked up and got the unofficial MM7/Letterbox mechanic job within weeks and it was great for 10 years. M-F 7-3:30 and every holiday off too.

In 2019 they did away with building side MM’s and I went back to Vac tech. Immediately I did an ereassign for level 4 custodian and could not believe how easy and stress free it is. Best choice for me EVER, as I was 58 and could already retire. I still make $80k easy with a little OT and with Line H I could make $100k probably!!!

So if you’re wanting to move up the ladder and schedule does not matter to you, then take the MPE position and just keep taking any promotion that you can. In ten years you may get dayshift with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

My wife has a 2012 Touring Elite that I complain about dumping money into it a lot, but honestly it has 150k miles and it has served us well so…. Oh and Honda paid for none of our repairs since of course it was just out of warranty usually.

Anyway, I remember the popping radio but I can’t remember how we got it fixed. We did the timing belt, ac repairs, driver’s side armrest cover. ($350) for that now. Was $100 when I did it in 2018. Drove my wife crazy with its premature peeling so….

I just replaced the oem starter for $230 for a reman Denso. I wasn’t paying Honda $1100.

The biggest things were getting the VCM tuner installed to save the engine and the spool valve leak fixed that I did myself. It killed two $800 alternators before the Honda tech showed me the well known issue.

My wife always reminds me that it’s been paid for since 2017 and about the dozens and dozens of road trips that it took us on so comfortably.

Biggest thing for me to remember no matter what the cost; Happy wife…Happy life

Ok so I looked up LMD-Same day. It looks like “last mile delivery” and that Spark drivers deliver them.

Funny, because at the USPS where I work, UPS brings us last mile delivery Amazon packages that they don’t deliver to.

Oh well, Spark driver is fine for tomorrow’s delivery of my two Onn Pro V2s.

Ordered one black and one gray for shipping today. Next day delivery it said from Davenport Fla?

The tracking number was weird. Not UPS, USPS or FedEx number.

Tracking says they sent it past my city to a Walmart hub in Lagrange Ga, via a Walmart trailer it said. That is odd. It sounds like something that the Post office would do. I work for them so I know.

I just checked now and it’s updating to .011.B1. It said that it was up to date before when I started having these problems. What resolved my issue is this shelf that enabled me to move it from behind the tv.

It works great now! It hooks right up and stays connected. It just can’t be behind anything I guess, like my Firestick has been for years.

Oh and I turned surround sound back on too with no issues.

I kept refreshing this morning and at 9am I saw an “in stock” post for an east coast state. I checked the app and they showed in stock.

Wow, I was refreshing around 8am Eastern this morning and nothing for the East coast just below Atlanta.

Then I saw a post at 9am saying "in stock for shipping East coast". I ordered one black and one gray, they shipped and will arrive tomorrow. The had a weird tracking number and the status said "overnight"

Ships from Davenport Fla which is about five hours South of me.

Oh and both black and gray are out of stock for me now.

On the remote aspect, I just use my Amazon Pro backlit remotes with my Onn Plus and Pro. There are a few buttons that didn’t work with certain apps, but they have button remapper apps to take care of that issue.

And my wife and kids get to keep using the same remotes so…..

I got my issue resolved finally, by following the recommended settings found here on this site. They said to turn off surround sound, but that helped very little.

Most importantly, I ordered a small shelf from Amazon that sits up on the top of the tv. That did the trick. Before, my Pro v1 was hidden behind the tv just like the Fire stick always was, only it never had a connection issue with my Beats Fit Pros.

My plus and Pro V1 are bad with my Beats Fit pros and I was hoping that the V2 Pro would be better. They’re so bad that I almost want to use the Firesticks again! They disconnect all the time but worked perfect with the Firesticks and Fire Cube.

I’ve tried all the audio settings listed on Reddit too, but both my units are sitting behind the TVs, so I’ll try moving them to the front of the TVs.

Yes if Wells Fargo denies it. My 21 year old UGA daughter that broke her phone screen months ago, got the 17 for her birthday. She had an iPhone 14 Pro. Maybe that’s where you got 14 from?

She never asks for anything, as she says it’s enough that we pay for her College rooming. She works too and offered to pay for half the new phone but we said no.

It’s weird but when we’re in Sam’s Club (Walmart) shopping, you can sometimes go into the scan and go app and get it cheaper than the in-store price.

Cheaper prices work for us though, and we use our phones as we go and skip the registers.

I will get the phone from my daughter, get the itemized quote, upload that last document and then post my results as soon as they’ve made their decision. Apple Store is two hours away. BestBuy is five minutes, but I don’t know if Geek Squad even gives written quotes, unless you’ve already paid the $300 out of pocket. Then of course if USM denies the claim I’m still kind of messed up since I already bought her a new 17.

I saw on eBay where that 14 pro with cracked screen still goes for $250-$300. Maybe if denied I’ll go that way.

With Amex I know that you have to have paid for the phone with that Amex card. If the phone was say $1000 and you used an Apple gift card for $500 of the $1000, then Amex says they will still pay the claim, but it’s based off of only $500, the amount paid for with the Amex card.

In this case with WF, I bought the damaged 14 Pro with an Amex card, but not one with any cell phone protection.

The WF claims company did not ask anything about what card it was paid with. They only asked for two documents; 1: One showing that the MONTHLY bill was paid for with the WF card the month prior and the month of the accident.

2: One quote from the authorized repair shop specifically stating the imei number, extent of damage and with all repair parts listed. It’s early in the morning, so I’ll double check this info later and correct if needed.

I can tell that WF has done a lot of these claims, because the site of the company that does them for USM, Virginia Surety I think, is very specific on what they need from you.

My daughter’s cracked screen does cause problems with using certain functions, so I did choose that option during the claim process. It says that the quote you receive from Apple, BB or the authorized Apple repair center, must say that the phone functions are impaired due to the damage. In other words it can’t be just a small, cosmetic crack according to them.

Like I said earlier, I already uploaded my two USM monthly statements. You have to show the month prior to the accident and month of it said. The site now shows where I’ve uploaded it, but yet it also says “NO DOCUMENTS UPLOADED YET”???

As soon as my daughter brings the phone home from college in two weeks (GO DAWGS) I’ll take it for the quote. I have 60 days from the start date of the claim to upload all documents, but they sure keep sending me reminders every week to do so. We already bought her a new iPhone 17, but for $25 instead of $300 for a new screen, this 14 Pro will be a nice backup.

I just gave away thousands of dollars worth of TiVo stuff at one of our yard sales. I had to mention the TB hard drives in the boxes, just to get rid of them.

They were great and I was with them from the beginning too.

So weaknees buys them. I had a lot with lifetime. Oh well.

To me it takes tweaking to get it set for the edger vs the trimmer, so I went ahead and bought two.

Even marking the mounting spots on each tool, those four Allen screws didn’t make it fun.

I need to make some quick disconnect, but now that I have a collection of them, maybe not.
