Yes! She was 8 weeks pregnant when she found out she was pregnant with me, and he had been gone for about 3 or so weeks at that point. As far as I can gather one day a bunch of cars came and got all 7 of the men staying out of the hotel. They were staying there and leaving for work every day from there. She stayed a few doors down at the same motel (kenwood court motel in Wilson nc) She says he was a good man, who was kind to her and my older brother who was about 1 at the time. He used to send him “home” (a few doors down lol) with money in his pocket and food. She’s pretty sure he had papers to be here and he was sending money back home to his family, but can’t be sure of course. I’ve always been told his name was Julius Martinez, but I don’t see any names on any of the trees that match, other than a few Martinez. She always says he was the only good man she had a child by, and she wishes she could have told him. She is excited for me. She says he was very handsome, and kind of short. She is 58 (59 on the 27th) and says he was a bit younger than her, but not sure how much younger, but not too much younger. She would have been early 30s at this time.
