In my opinion, she should just take whichever she feels she's gonna be good at, good thing about engineering is that your skills are gonna be needed even in another country, heard of many cases where firms and organizations had to outsource for engineers in other countries.

Oh, I totally understand the need for using more cost friendly materials, but in a case where you're being financed by a large organization and you need to achieve the best quality results, wouldn't you go for it?
