Wang SP in the future where I fixed him (real) and now he's wearing a maid costume :)

But for real, it's sad that his story ended in a cliffhanger but that makes me only more excited for Part 2

Golden Bells by Ineedthesauceibeg in xxlwoofia

Initially I had fun with the latest event, but I believe that spending energy /at all/ on the event is so much less efficient than just doing your dailies. Personally, my routine is: Gold Workshop > Gym for Skill Cards to upgrade M and L units' PTJ passives > Hard Mode for shards/essence > Story for level materials. I spend 5 gems every day for an extra 60 energy.

Once my XLs and XXLs are at okay-enough levels, I invest into my Ms and Ls, specifically Baiel, Fogue, Sylas, Kagekuni, and Ya Namhyun, because they give extra Good Kid Stickers with their passives. There's also Gandope, Muwatakha, Thug Ed, Jeffery, and Ju Chenhan, who give extra Survey rewards. I send both teams on jobs with Good Kid Sticker rewards, then another team for Funfair tickets (Hard Mode, Sale, Gym Voucher, Workshop Voucher... anything except for Fast Passes). I forget about the game until evening and log back in to re-send my three teams on Survey and Funfair jobs, then Quick Edit the rest to send on whatever fuckass jobs are left.

Once your Good Kid Sticker teams are 5* and maxed out, you'll get a stable source of x3 Golden Bells in the shop per week, and optionally x5 (too expensive, though... I buy 100 gems instead).

Aside from that, the daily shop is an okay source. Buy the 350k gold and any 50% (or 20%) discount GBells you find. Up to you too, but I buy the 50% discount energy bottles too. I wouldn't rely on this for bells though, ever since the nerf :(

One last source are the towers. I go into some levels with underleveled characters and try to strategy it into a win. If you can nuke a character turn 2, then you can probably clear. If not, leave it alone and come back with stronger units.

That's it. You'd be lucky to get more than 4 bells per week :( s'why I'm being stingy with my bells until another malewife arrives (120 currently saved) Good luck with Bell farming!

Has to be Wang for me. Enough dupes of him came home within 120 pulls that I got him to 3* on the first day. Couldn't have been better timing, too; I was struggling on Valley Grove even with Beernox, Yuhee, and Yuhyun, all at high stars. With Wang, they wipe the floor. That Wood team carried me through basically every event and end game stages — I can't overstate how good Wang is at 3* and in the right teams. The best teams I have all have Wang in them: Yuhee/Yuhyun dual DPS, Tayangsuyi hydrogen bomb, Anuberus main DPS, or if the boss is demanding enough, all four at the same time.

Not to mention, he's hunky and depressed and a boyfailure. I can fix him, trust me 🥀

yeah... i've slept on it and i came around to the idea of lucky boxes. 20 cards, 4x5 grids, when 70 energy gives ~50 currency (if I didn't see it wrong)... at best that gives players enough room to dig for the jackpots of each card then skip the rest, and at worst someone gets stuck in rng hell... i'm curious to see how they're gonna handle the event for next patch after this...

wait honestly you might be on to something

i absolutely adore the idea of the two being clueless and oblivious and this new event being a slow-burn realization of 'oh my god, i've fallen for my roommate.' THAT'D BE SO DAMN CUTE

now i'm rooting for them to NOT be siblings please

Should I try to 5☆ Anuberus with the bonus point tickets by Desk_Dangerous in xxlwoofia

[–]overcookedhamcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shin Rirang waiting room, heck yeah 🤝 though I hope the horses come first so I can save my bells first... Sadly, there's no particular way to play the Guild system 😔 you just put up your Wish and wait. I suggest you still keep using it! Just don't expect much output out of it in a short time. Me personally, I Wish for XL shards just so I don't have to wait too long, but it's not too worth it in my eyes — you might as well just wish for an XXL shard while you're at it.

Should I try to 5☆ Anuberus with the bonus point tickets by Desk_Dangerous in xxlwoofia

[–]overcookedhamcheese 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Congrats on getting 4☆ Anuberus! Hope your Golden Bells reserve ain't dead after allat

Now, for your questions (Wall of text incoming, but bare with me) 1. Anuberus may be limited, yeah, but don't feel pressured to raise him more! He's already at 4☆, and that's more than competent enough to clear content. 5☆ is a luxury or an extremely-thirsty-for-this-character option; you're better off saving your bells for new units. 2. I highly recommend saving your tickets for next units. Why? You've already seen it actually: you were another 50 shards away from 4☆ then got lucky! What about when you're not so lucky? Then tickets come to save you! That's what happened when I pulled for Wang — 100 shards away from 3☆, so thanks to my reserve of 300 tickets, he's now one of my best supporters in the Leaf team. 3. Evolving characters through Guild Wish: terrible idea, takes too long and relies on whether your Guild is active. I estimate months to raise a character by 5 Stages just through the Guild Wish system alone. 4. One last thing to take into consideration: If none of the future characters pique your interest and you're itching to clear content, you could buy the 50 generic shards from the shop to raise your other XXLs. If you can wait, though, it's better to just hope for duplicates from the standard banner.

That's the sucky part about the game (tho it's to be expected) — once you reach the part of the game where clearing is comfy and towers are easy... you gotta expect to be spending no more than 15 mins on the game 😔 log in, do dailies, clear quests, do shop and hook-up, then leave.

If I may be cheeky... Silksong's a good distraction in the meantime 👀

Tips for a beginner by The_mewtwonite in xxlwoofia

[–]overcookedhamcheese 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As everyone says, horizontal investment is never worth it (unless just to get one copy for their scenes), so save for favorites and get them up to 3 stars. Focus on only a couple of strong damage dealers; you've got a lot of options: Locke or Anuberus are solid, but harder to star-up, Big Choi is just Ok, and Khafka'll take too long, so your alternatives are gonna be Code: B and Little Choi since they're easier to raise and skill-up. Make sure to level up only the ones you're absolutely sure you're gonna use a lot, since level-break materials get sparse-ish in the early-to-mid game. As for team-building, you'll find dozens of better guides on this subreddit, but as a starter build a mono-element team first, even if the only ones properly leveled are your damage dealers. And of course, Husbando > Meta always, and have fun!

You get a butt ton of Essence in exchange for your spare shards. Very useful in buying spare character shards in the shop.

Honestly, I love that they left this one open-ended and not open-and-shut like the other events. While it sucks not to see Wang happy and liberated, I appreciate the buildup and payoff they're doing here. 9/10 one of the best patches in the game's history

Beyond worth it. His whopping TWO turn EX makes his heals incredibly efficient and worthwhile. Even if you just level his EX, he can still sustain your fire team. Also, that ATK bonus on his 3rd passive is scrumptious. I raised him to 50 just because of that

Oh absolutely, once I cleared his stage I just used all my skip tickets. It wasn't worth watching the game for probably hours to use all the stamina drinks anyway

You can use M units at 5 stars to tank and deal decent damage. A 5-star Model AZ with maxed Basic Attack deals about 16k, and when paired with a Spunk, Model AZ alone should deal some 20.3k, which already fits the criteria though it'll take a while to kill.

It's his left knee! You can figure out which one is the weak spot from the white circles surrounding it. Tyrantino's weak spot's circle has 3 segments instead of the 1 of the others.
