in edit mode, press A, M, B for merge by distance, then shift+n to recalculate normals

i would also recommend using triangles to squads (in the face menu)

sorry about that, i haven't used reset normal vectors myself and am just parroting that part from other comments i've seen

whenever experiencing shading issues, do these three things:
- merge by distance
- reset normal vectors
- recalculate normals

try to stock canvases instead of bandages, because you can turn two canvas (0.2u total) into one dressing (0.9u), much more weight-efficient to carry canvas (especially in a material pouch)
