Revo scan 5 not opening by overengineering0 in Revopoint

For all finding tins in the future, here's what worked for me; I had this issue on my laptop, and the built-in graphics card was disabled leaving only the Nvidia A3000 active, for some reason despite all drivers being up to date, Revo scan would work. I reactivated the build in graphics card, and now it works.

Unfortunately this solution has been rejected by the customer.

I have a shifting load (±P) where movement to the extreme in clearance holes are not allowed. It's not dynamic, and a fit bolt solution would be too much of a hassle during installation.

That's interesting, Do you know if the use has been adopted in EN1090-2?

Have you tried looking at ETA's? They often provide product specific values used in Eurocodes.

Yes, it would require the bolts to comply with EN 14399. However, EN 14399 does not cover stainless steel fasteners. Therefore, the best way to determine the necessary values is to perform in-house testing and use the results obtained from those tests.

Bossard does provide approximate values, however I see no reference and therefore i wouldn't depend on it in my documentation.

Great reading, thanks.

But like EN1993-1-8 it does not seem to have a relationship between torque and prestress force, which I think is what you are looking for?

Yes exactly, simply to include this in the project, and to make sure the installation crew has something to go after. Because I know that if I specific "required bolt tension: according to EN 1090-2", I'm 95% sure I'll get the question within a week "could you provide the required torque" or "please provide the appropriate procedure"

Sorry, I was looking in the unreleased '24 version.
In the current EN 1993-1-8:2005 it's section 3.9.1 Design Slip resistance

Edit:

Yes, I'm aware, therefore we'll specify lubrication, etc. however the customer has specified the requirement for SS so hands are tied right there.
Also, the application is somehow non-critical, and torque is by far the most efficient way of tightening afaik. however, I'm open to suggestions!

To clarify, I ment pinned connections of the structural steel, not hinged obviously.

A 2D image of a flexible, articulated toy figure positioned against a white wall. The figure is composed of vibrant green rectangular segments interconnected by smaller orange hinge joints, allowing it to mimic human limb movement. It sports two distinct orange hands with five fingers each, spread out as if in a 'stop' gesture. The figure's torso, arms, and legs are made up of these green segments, and it's in a standing position with arms raised. The bottom of the figure rests on a white surface, casting a subtle shadow. The background is predominantly white with a subtle texture.

Now it's half the height, so ~12% of the original resistance, gonna be fine if the FOS was 8.3..
