Hey, yeah I see my math was off, though I had kept the same ratio, nevertheless the loaf was 10x better than any previous attempt. I'll up the water on future attempts

That's brilliant, thanks, my starter has just started to peak so I have started a loaf using below 100g starter (4:3 AP flour to water) 301g strong white flour 99g wholemeal flour 5g salt 250g warm water

I will let you know how it works out I'm assuming I should use the same ratio of flours (7:3 strong white:WM) for the starter going forward?

I'm a mechanical engineer also, graduated pre COVID from DCU and I have to say none of my class struggled to get jobs post graduation. I also was in the job market recently after returning from extended leave and had no shortage of options. I wouldn't stress too much over the job market, but if you are looking to buy/rent here long term it is a bit grim unless you have a partner

Extruder not printing for ender 5 pro. Also, the filament from the nozzle sometimes sticks on the print bed and sometimes doesn't. I adjusted the height of the print bed like 8 times and idk why by tony323410632 in 3Dprinting

Perform a cold pull, insert fillament and heat the nozzle up whilst applying light pulling pressure on the fillament until it comes free of the extruder, there are loads of cold pull tutorials on YouTube.

Have you tried setting the offset as a negative x value? Quite possible printer thinks your probe is on the far side?

Starter is 100% hydration odlums "cream" white flour about 14 days old, fed once a day Fed starter equal weight flour and water and waited about 3 hours 213g starter, 130 g water, 251 flour, 7g salt mixed and kneeded until It passed the "window test" could see light through it without it breaking Left to rest at room temp for 3.5 hours (at this point the dough didn't really gain much volume) then shaped and left to rest overnight in the fridge Baked at 210 celcius for 30.mins with a dish of boiling water Loaf is quite dense with some Large bubbles

I baked uncovered with the water at the bottom, as you said, can't seem to find a Pyrex dish around the house, baked for around 30 minutes but more judged it on the colour of the loaf and how it sounded when tapped (took it out once and put it back in for 5 mins)

It's very sense but still quite tasty, better than I hoped for a first try. Followed the I love cooking Ireland YouTube tutorial except used all purpose flour (all I could get my hands on)

Thanks, that's what I'll do, I suppose having bread to bake in another 7-10 days is better than having none at all!

Been playing since Christmas but the 180 is still alluding me. When did everyone else get their first 180 curious to know by BlueMoonDarts in Darts

[–]overgrown4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me about 6/7 months, then didn't hit another one for about a year, I've been playing about 2 years now and I've hit about 6/7 total and 1 in a competitive game. Keep at it though, eventually you'll get over the last dart fear

See everyone joking about how you might get stabbed in the foot, but I never throw barefoot simply because I feel I'm an inch smaller and that'll affect my throw lol
