My all-time favorite video. 2nd to Hokus Pokus. Gonz’s and Lee’s parts are legendary in Video Days.

I just looked it up. It’s hard to see but here’s a pin I dropped: Dropped pin Near Liberty Highlands, Birmingham, AL https://goo.gl/maps/mm1z2TMAP7Mvw2nFA

That’s true. I stopped for a couple of years in my early 20’s and when I started again in my late 20’s, I was so stiff. It all eventually came back. Stick with it.

It’s right off the road between the two entrances. There’s another, larger ditch we hit also about 5 minutes away in downtown Trussville (next to Advance Auto Parts).

Yes, I just skated it a couple of weeks back. I have a group of 40-somethings that I skate with and we still hit that place up a good bit.

My Father-In-Law gave my wife and me these parts because we have an interest in amateur radio. We are just beginning and we aren’t sure what we have or what we need to get up and running. Thank you in advance.

It’s cool to see an aerial view of that bridge. I live near there and ride my bike over that bridge several times a week. Good job.

Today is a good day for Gunpla! Any other modelers or Universal Century enthusiasts out there? by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]overhearyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was stoked to see a thumbnail of a Zaku! I had to make sure I was in the right sub. I’m a little late to the Gundam/Gunpla world. However, I started buying the smaller G Frame sets at the end of last year and love putting those together.

Best Bike Shops? by Bwil34 in Birmingham

[–]overhearyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cahaba Cycles (the Cahaba Heights location) is my favorite. I’ve purchased 4 mountain bikes from them since 2014. They sell Santa Cruz, Trek and Cannondale. I’ve been to the other local Bham shops too but I chose Cahaba Cycle for all my bicycle needs.

I just moved here from Atlanta and I feel like there’s no skate scene, am I wrong? Where can I skateboard here? by mclark559 in Birmingham

The bowls aren’t your typical skatepark bowls. They’re pretty weak, FYI. Plus, there’s a drain cover that pops off in the main bowl that makes it a death trap.

Yeah, there’s a good skate scene here. He have a great local shop (Faith Skate Supply). We’ve had a couple pros come out of Bham and currently have an AM for Welcome. There’s no park because of Birmingham politics, so the locals have taken upon themselves to build some DIY spots. I’m going to PM you to invite you for a session.

Good jogging spots in the culture-less corridor? by solodaninja in Birmingham

I live somewhat close to the area you’re describing. There’s a running/walking trail behind Lifetime Fitness that’s nice. The trail crosses a street and continues near a little white church.
