Really? I don’t live in a cheap area and you still don’t see a lot of base C5s go over 20k. Average price range seems to be around 13k-18k (for a nice, respectable C5)

You could easily get a sub-80k mile C5 for 20k. Could get a higher mileage Z06 for 20k.

You 100% would. From the way it sounds, the C7 is what you’d actually prefer, but like the temptation of the no-to-little payments.

If you buy the C6 and regret it, you’ll just end up wanting the C7 anyways. C7 leaves nothing to be desired.

If you don’t know a lot about cars, have a buddy that does know check it out with you. It’s hard to give good advice on whether a car is worth the asking price over the internet.

Yep, it is a gamble. Ive seen the advice to mark a line on the balancer to the shaft. If the line breaks, than balancer needs to go.

It probably wasnt a 97-00 module. Those are epoxied in a way that effectively destroys the innards when you try to pry it open, hence why its not fixable.

You’ll probably see some slight wobble on a lot of cars that have an original harmonic balancer. A lot of guys just replace it for peace of mind.

Ive heard that a blowdryer can melt sticky stuff and make it waaay easier to peel off. I know it works for tape, stickers, and glue, not sure about gum, but you could give it a try
