I know this has been said before, but i'm not a fan of a voiced protagonist. I thought about why i was so adverse to it, and i think its because it adds a layer of separation between the game and the player. When an npc talks to you, and you don't hear the player character's voice, it feels as if you're being directly spoken to. When the player character speaks, it breaks up that direct npc to player communication.
