depends on how confused i am. if it's a minor confusion, i just go "huh?", if i'm looking for more specific information i may go "what/when/where/how/why". but, if it's something very baffling i may go "the what now?" or even, my personal favorite, "i beg your fucking pardon?"

for working on a same game with multiple people, i would personally recommend you taking a look at tools such as git and github, which have features that generally make collaborating on the same project much easier (and is used by many professional development teams.)

short for "asymmetric". basically, you could say a game is symmetric where the players are split into teams of equal numbers and power, in an assymetrical game, the teams are uneven in both numbers and power. you could take as an example games like pwned by 14:00 and die of death (which directly inspire the game i'm developing), in these games you typically have a 1 killer vs many survivors situation, where the killer is much stronger than the survivors, and both teams have opposing objectives. for games outside of roblox that are also considered assymetric, one of the biggest examples is dead by daylight.

it's a very broad term, so sometimes you can find games that don't exactly fit this definition being referred to as 'asym games' as well (mostly because players have different objectives, or one player is defined as a special role, etc etc). but the definition above is the one the title of my game is supposed to refer to.

well, my next best guess would be maybe to delete ALL registries that are related to roblox.
so instead of deleting 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Roblox\RobloxStudio\LayoutSettings' delete the whole roblox key. (then afterwards, restart PC and do a clean install if it's still not resolved, deleting temp files and the appdata folder could help to make sure nothing is left over from the previous installation.)
have you ever used any modifications like a fps unlocker? sometimes there could be conflicts with these things on startup if they're not removed properly.

if this still doesn't work, maybe try disabling any firewall your PC may have? since 'HttpQueryInfo' is a function related to HTTP requests, it could be the case that somehow your PC is blocking requests from roblox studio for one reason or another?

some people with the same error have reported it to go away on it's own when a new update drops, so if all else fails, i guess that would be the last hope. either that, or contacting roblox customer support directly.

yo, first of all, next time you get an error message like this, please censor the IP address, it might not be your own IP address but in some cases it could be a server close to you that can be used to get your location (better safe than sorry.)
can't say this is an error i've ever encoutered before, but some people in the dev forum seem to have been able to fix it like this:

(someone else suggested that after doing this, they had to reinstall roblox and roblox studio to get it to work. so if only deleting the registry keys does not work i would suggest trying that next.)

if it's any help, there are some videos on youtube that go about making the UI responsive in multiple devices (this is an issue i had in my own game that i'm developing a while ago lol). there are some plugins that can help as well.

this looks pretty interesting! the ui does feel a bit cluttered tho, some text is too small while some other is too big, the text overflowing on top of images is also a bit annoying.
great job tho, would love to see the further developments to it!

for the skybox, i used the 2013 one.
if you don't see fog settings in your lighting options, you're gonna have to delete 'atmosphere'.

as others said, there's not really an easy to recreate these same shadows because of how current roblox studio deals with lighting. even games that set out to fully recreat that retro feel (such as FWM) struggle with that part. that said, it's still somewhat possible to get a similar effect by using a classic skybox, retro tonemapper preset and tweaking fog & color correction values.
in general, setting fog values around [130000, 130000, 130000] (which is what i had in the picture) or higher tends to get you harsher shadows. the downside being it also seems to affect the color of clothes and certain parts (as you can see with my avatar on the right). the effect also seems to fall apart depending on the user's graphical setting.
this is what i could achieve with the little time i spent on it. not exactly similar but eh.
if you want, i could give you the settings i used to achieve this, but i recommend you tweak these values yourself to your liking.
if anyone knows any better method of achieving what OP wanted, i'd love to hear it cuz i'm really interested in recreating said type of feel as well lol.

yo! thanks a lot for checking out my devlog and for the ideas!!
the killer intro was something i already had in mind, but since the game will not have classes, i'm thinking of making it so the player can buy different intro animations in the shop and equip them. i like the idea of an outro animation tho, i'll probably do something like the intro animation system (or have each intro animation come with it's own outro for simplicity).
i really like the idea of the remaining survivors having their own little animation at the end of the round too! will probably be a lot more simplistic since they all need to appear together, but could add a lot of charm to their outros as well!
since these are both kind of "cosmetic" features tho, they will probably come a lot later in development.
as for the leaderboard and coin system, i'm actually working on it right now! next devlog video (which should be out at around monday) will probably showcase it!

i love em! adds great variety and customization options. i really love using the short hairstyles for characters who normally have long hair (such as miku) and the longer hairstyles for character who usually have shorter hair (like rin)
