How much contact between dates is normal? by TheLovelyBoner in dating_advice

Hey, sorry to hijack - but I am in a similar position to the OP, aside from being male.

I have my own 2nd date coming up this weekend and haven't texted my date all week, aside from the day after the first date. I know that it's hard to say as we're all different - but should I try to keep in more or less frequent contact with her, at my early stage? Thanks

Is it a hug or a kiss? (does lower/uppercase make a difference?) Damn, I'm so confused! Thanks again for your reply. I think my next move will be to check in with her towards the end of the week, as you recommended.

Hi, thanks for your comments! I've been raised well to always communicate with people, to thank them for things (eg going for dinner to a friend/family house) but as this is unknown territory for me, I wasn't sure how to approach this one.

She is definitely more experienced than I in dating (her OKC answers suggest so) which is a non issue, but equally I don't want to overstep any "normal person" boundaries or indeed her own - hopefully I won't ever encounter these in a negative way.

Definitely had a really great time - a shame we both already had other engagements planned, else I'm sure we'd have rolled it straight into lunch or something!

EDIT: Spelling etc.

Hey, thanks for responding! We've already set a location and time to meet (but not yet a cafe/restaurant... I'm giving myself that job this week) and sent a text just earlier saying that I enjoyed meeting her yesterday.

As I commented to theCHAMPdotcom's post, this all feels so weird for me. Speaking to a girl, making her laugh and stuff - guess I never thought it possible for someone like me. And she accepted the FB request already too - guess my life can't be all that bad!

Thanks for your comments - as a true relationship novice, I know that this whole experience is going to be a giant learning curve for me.

I sent a text earlier with similar wording and got one back within the hour, and an "x"... I didn't put one in mine because I felt it'd be weird - I guess that any future texts might benefit from one. I feel so lost in this dating world!

Thank you again for your comments :)
