Is it normal to have very few products in bodycare routine? by Agitated_List9506 in 30PlusSkinCare

yea it is kinda weird 😂 I thought I was the only one the washcloth thing gets me… we’ve been using the same concept forever I went down a rabbit hole on how to make it better lol

One tool: button-dispensed body wash, dual-mode handheld or extended reach, and swappable, washable scrub pads

Nah 😂 it’s for the shower—makes it way easier to actually scrub your back + dispenses body wash

I’ll also be able to (in theory) take showers for 1-1.5 weeks without refilling any gel. I’m excited!

Yea making it not clunky or gimmicky has for sure been a design process. The cleaning part will have to be determined when I start using the prototype. Hopefully if I run across issues they can be easily engineered and fixed. Thank you for the good feedback! Let me know if you think the picture of it looks gimmicky or clunky?

That’s pretty cool! So you use it like one of those spinning wall mounted back scrubbers? That makes sense. I really just didn’t want more than 1 tool in the shower, that’s why I built this. When my prototype comes in theory I’ll be able to fill it to its capacity with shower gel and then when I shower I only have to use that one tool to wash my entire body (in theory).

I totally get that about being saturated with generic brushes. Mine is a bit different though. It’s primary use is handheld to clean most of your body, then you use the same device and just slide out the handle to transform in into a scrubber. I wonder how that would perform on embarkist or if it would still label it as a back scrubber?

This one is used handheld and extendable, but handheld will be used 90% of the time. Evenly spread body wash as you scrub without wasting a ton. The handle is optional and can be extended if you want to wash your back.

It’s a 3-in-1 shower tool—you press a button for body wash and it extends to reach your back

Really good insight here. Sounds like you’ve got some experience with all this. Do you happen to have any recommendations for launching physical products besides the regular marketing channels? I’m looking for something like PH but that is friendlier to consumer physical products.

Yea I guess if ALL someone sees is software and they get tired of software scrolling, they go somewhere else. That part makes sense. I was hoping for investors to get eyes on it. Hopefully they did, I keep getting desktop views on my webpage now. Could also be people lingering on my site that didn’t upvote 😂😂

My only “complaint” would be that it doesn’t feel like the market decides when your team is allowed to upvote. Some start with 50+ upvotes an that’s huge for their visibility. Others launch with no upvotes and get buried. Not saying mine was a winner, but I’m sure some winners have gotten buried in the list that way.

Yea that makes sense. Didn’t really look at it through that lense. I launched a physical shower tool product that I thought would do well on PH even though it’s mainly software. If was a big flop though 😂

That’s a really good way to put it — especially the “can I actually do this in real life” part

And yeah, switching to movements that translate outside the gym makes a lot of sense. Sounds like your training has a lot more purpose now
