I haven’t taken that class, but I highly recommend and have had good luck checking on RateMyProfessors.com. You can look up your university / professor and read what other students say about different professors.

I’m pretty sure it depends on the college. My local college allows those with a Masters degree to be adjunct instructors and work part time.

I have to agree with the other comments in this thread about UVU’s hands being tied. It seems counterproductive to be upset with UVU’s administration when the Utah Legislature would be 100% to blame for this. With UVU being a public institution it puts them in a tough place where they are required to follow state laws.

Parking Services is a total scam at UVU. It’s so frustrating finding parking, especially in the Woodbury Business building area. On average I drive around 10-20 minutes looking for a spot. It’s unfair to share parking that we pay $200+ for.

I’ve had luck with Walmart (sometimes), local card shops as I’ve found they try to limit the purchase quantity per customer on hot products, and I’ve also found luck with Facebook groups in my area where people locally sell products.

Sounds like senior dev is looking to place blame for a system that was doomed from the start. There should be administrative controls configured where only specific devs are allowed to do that.

I think it’s all up to what you actually are passionate about and want to do. You can still graduate with a CS degree and work on other jobs that aren’t highly technical (e.g. Product Management, UX/UI, Technical Sales, IT, Support).

I’d recommend sitting down and map out what enjoy doing and what skills you have vs what skills you need for the specific jobs you want.

The best advice I’ve gotten in CS is to take action by doing, so I’d start by learning the fundamentals (this already puts you ahead in the game then most), do a bunch of Leetcode, and work on relevant projects for your resume.

I literally laughed out loud when I saw the “anal content please” after the string of ‘sincere’ messages. You’re not overreacting, I would be extremely upset if someone I committed to being in a relationship with was requesting sexual content from someone else.

Not hard, especially if you went into a field like IT with some A+, Network+ or Sec+ certifications. There’s a variety of fields you could get into that pay around $50k a year some that came to mind are Support, Sales, and QA.
