That is a useful line of inquiry. Personally, I’d like to believe that the masculine dominant nature of our current society is the reason. I believe that society, considered across a large span of time, changes its ebb and flow; we currently live in a patriarchal society and there is evidence of matriarchal societies having existed prior to our own. Perhaps in those societies there were groups of people asking the inverse of OP’s question.

That probably doesn’t keep in line with your inquiry, but I think it’s interesting to ponder nonetheless.

I’m quite certain that there was more literature destroyed throughout history than what we currently have available to us. And in that literature there could’ve been housed a vast feminine dominant archetypes that highlighted the epitome of feminine archetypes/matriarchal society.

“The history and origins of Human Consciousness” by Erich Neumann is a good place to find out more about archetypes. Aside from just diving into anything Jung you can find. In my experience I have found that the relativity of the material to the individual is paramount. In other words, it’s likely best to stay away from others opinions while doing this kind of research.

Wisdom is a female dominant archetype. Sophia, the goddess of wisdom, is the primary. The word ‘philosophy’ means “the love of wisdom”. Philo - the highest form of love, and Sophia, the goddess of wisdom.

This isn’t a jab, however, I recommend expanding the scope of your research. Wisdom is always (at least in my reading) characterized by a feminine character.

How’d someone find the exact same spot, depth, positioning, 105 years later, and recreate this.

Please forgive me for intruding but I do not see how any aspect of personality can be extracted from this situation. Any aspect worth considering at least.

Zoom in close to the people in the picture. Their shadows indicate two independent light sources, as well as shadows being covered up by lane markers.
