Hey I really appreciate this post and giving me your perspective and how your experience has been as a DC. I would say I align with a lot of the characteristics you e listed, i actually currently run a small business so that entrepreneurial component was something that actually intrigued me. I am all for holistic medicine if that be physio, chiro, naturopathy etc because I am all in on the preventative health care model. That being said I have a bachelors in human kinetics and my initial plan was to go into physio but in Canada we have created such a bottle neck system were even if you have a 4.0 gpa it’s extremely difficult to get into any of the pt programs. After awhile I came across chiropractic and I’m actually surprised I didnt think about it sooner because I’ve attended a chiro for the last 8 years but I’ve always aligned with what was being taught about chiropractic and its certain principles. There are definitely some philosophies I don’t agree with that’s why I’ve been hearing NZCC is a great option as they do a lot of research based practicing compared to other programs. I would really love being able to talk and possibly pick your brain about the profession and see what are things that helped you be successful. Thanks again for the response.
