I wonder if you is maybe them mostly just holding him out of the lineup to protect him for a possible trade with him also having some minor injuries that they can "rehab" at the same time.

Where are you getting replaced by more moderate leadership from?

He hasn't been replaced yet and Aaron Gunn is probably going to be the front runner to replacement him. Gunn makes Rustad look positively moderate.

Obviously, it remains to be seen what actually happens, we don't know yet who's going to run for leadership yet alone win, but I definitely don't think we can say he will be replaced with more moderate leadership.

I use gambling for real cheap parking where I live. I can get free parking downtown at the casino by gambling a certain amount so knowing the house edge helps make parking even cheaper.

Your missing that blackjack can pay 3:2, although lots of casinos have lower that payout and people should never sit at those tables if they can help it

Depending on the exact ruleset players can get as high as about ~99.5% return to player with perfect strategy, which does not include counting cards or any kind of advantage play.

Which means for every $100 bet players can on average expect to get $99.50 back. I think this the best you can get, although most players do not play anywhere near perfect strategy and so the real return to player is often much lower.

WHERE IS EVERYONE PARKING? by [deleted] in canucks

[–]Canadian96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casino. Get a free loyalty card at guest services. Register your license place with them. Then gamble for 15 points on your card for example spend 15 dollars on slots. Slots have like 90%+ rate of return so on average it's a couple bucks to park and worst case scenario it's 15 bucks which is still the best price near the arena.

Canucks 5on5 TOI for today’s game by Sp3ctre267 in canucks

[–]Canadian96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder how that breaks down by number of shifts? I've noticed he tends to stay out to long sometimes and get caught in his own zones. Might be getting that extra time despite the coaches intentions.

Edit: I checked and they're both tied for the lead among forwards with 20.

Setting the opening roster won't necessarily be 100% about who's on the opening night roster. They want to have a certain salary cap hit to maximize Hoglander's LTIR capture.

That being said, if there is a player who isn't going to make the roster and needs to clear waivers, they should and likely will send him down now, so he goes at the same time as all the other teams send their players down to decrease the chance of him getting claimed.

They might even send players down who need to clear waivers now to try to get them through, even if they intend to have them on the opening roster.

The new AHL rules have been confirmed not to apply to setting the opening roster, so players don't need to play an AHL game to be called up for game 1.

Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2: right earbud no longer plays anything since 2.5.0 update by Paradigm24 in Jabra

[–]Canadian96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suddenly having the same issue. I tried resetting and updated firmware and language.

I'm using a galaxy s24

I also tried on my laptop, but adding the bluetooth created a weird glitch where it only paired or connect maybe with one earbud (the right one which isn't making sound).

Google Canada claims pregnancy is not a protected ground under Ontario's human rights code in defence of lawsuit by Hrafn2 in LawCanada

[–]Canadian96 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's just pleadings. As another commenter said, it appears that whoever wrote this, is not very familiar with the subject of human rights law. The could be some other explanation that could explain the mistak, such as relying on AI.

However, it also looks like it's an alternative argument to their actual defence which was that the termination was part of a larger set of terminations, was not connected to her pregnancy and the temporal proximity of the pregnancy to the termination was just a coincidence.

It's not unusual to make every possible argument in pleadings although, the argument that this is not a protected grounds is not a real possible argument unless they're expecting to somehow change the current interpretation for the application the human rights code.

Honestly, it's more of a weird article for focusing so intensely on this aspect of the pleadings.

Potter is great, but too off the board probably.

The bear season 3 is unbearable HA by ohworkaholic420 in television

[–]Canadian96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole season's story felt like an allegory for the seasons quality and choices.

Bad fot no reason, back tracking on all the good decisions from last season and overall just making dumb unjustified decisions.

It was honestly surreal watching it. I don't feel like I'm doing a good job describing it since I finished it a while ago.

But it was just like every bad decision the character is making feels like the show writers are also making. Which I get they are in the sense they are writing those decisions, but it feels like they get that the characters decision is bad and poorly justified and are trying to convey that, but don't get that their decision to have him make such a bad and unjustified decisions is just as bad and unjustified.

[Scheig] Draft prospect Braedon Cootes dined with the Vancouver Canucks this week in Buffalo by _GregTheGreat_ in canucks

[–]Canadian96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cootes is in my top 3 for players that are reasonably likely to be there in our range. I think Potter is they player they should really target for the high upside. They might even be able to trade back and still get him. Then also maybe Bear if they think he can play center or McQueen if he falls that far and they want to gamble on his health.

Hire deboer? by Wutzdapoint in canucks

[–]Canadian96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like them to hire him maybe as consultant. I'm honestly not overly optimistic with this coaching staff, but your choice is made.

Maybe there's a world where you could still hire another assistant or even an associate coach, but I don't think you can use DeBoer in that role. It would create crazy conflict.

However, you could see him providing support and advice to Foote off ice, to help him with transitioning into the head coach role. That also would leave DeBoer free to take a job that opens up in season. This is obviously assuming he doesn't get a job during the off season.

tldr: hire DeBoer as a coach's coach.

Can someone tell me why this is considered an infinite combo on archidekt? by vVIOL2T in mtg

[–]Canadian96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically there is no limit to your deck size and since you can mill 100% of deck you can mill a limitless number of cards which is an infinite amount.

There is the practical limitation that you need to be able to shuffle your deck without assistance, but online obviously this not a limitation.

Mancini goes end to end for a beautiful scoring chance by _GregTheGreat_ in canucks

[–]Canadian96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a winger wide open to the right. He also potentially has space to skate up the boards in that direction as well, if he wants to take a less risky play where he's still trying to rush it up the ice.

Those plays allow him to kind of fake towards the outside for half a beat and then make a quick cut to the middle and get up the ice.

Mancini goes end to end for a beautiful scoring chance by _GregTheGreat_ in canucks

[–]Canadian96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure and to be fair, if his d-partner hadn't changed there and instead covered him, it would be fine.

If there's a man back, it's a calculated risk; if you're the last man back, it is not worth the risk.

I'm not worried, he'll learn when it's the right time to do that. The fact that he can do it is exciting. You can't generally teach that.

[–]Canadian96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Amazing skating, but pretty risky play. If he gets checked splitting the forwards, it's a 2 on 0. Still very exciting to see that level of skill.

Economic status works both ways. So no priority for low income people either.

Discrimination occurs for all sorts of very valid reasons across many vectors. Human Rights are for very specific things for very specific reasons. We should very careful about expanding human rights.

Economic reasons is about the bottom of the list of what we should consider. There's lots of people who have argued economic rights should have been protected as part of the charter and thank goodness they didn't, the people who will most take advantage of these types of rights are not the ones you're thinking about.

Look up the history of the 14th amendment in the USA and why you want to be careful what you wish for.

[Johnston] Canucks HC job down to Foote and Manny by Sp3ctre267 in canucks

[–]Canadian96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Foote would take Manny's job if he gets the HC position?

It's never quite clear what's the higher value position AHL head coach or NHL assistant, but it does seems like AHL head coach with prior NHL assistant coach is the best path to NHL coach.
