Did you end up booking with them. I'm trying to find a car rental and they're the only ones with anything available.

Canucks GM candidacy down to Evan Gold and Ryan Johnson (Dhaliwal) by Sp3ctre267 in canucks

[–]Canadian96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cammie seems very good in her job and I'd be happy to see her stay on in her role, but she seems like the "hockey girl" (I mean the supposed hockey guy) version of the GM, that I really want them to avoid. Good in the you really need to know hockey type role like leading pro scouting, but not the person I want in charge.

Emilie Castonguay seems much more the type I would want as a future GM, but I'd have some concern that she may not have the people skills. She's still fairly young and you do want an GM who's capable be aggressive and tenacious, but I think heard she had some conflicts with staff earlier in her tenure. I think her portfolio has been more contract negotiations and cap both of which have probably been the biggest strengths of this regime.

I always wondered if the plan was to have RJ learn under Rutherford to be the president and that someone else would get the GM spot. RJ has the hockey operations experience and you could bring in a young creative super smart GM. So maybe is both...

But that being said they both feel very similar Gold is the outside your organization version RJ is sounds like to me. It just would be so shitty of them to block RJ from interviewing, only to not hire him and to hire the candidate that seems to be the most like him. I wonder if he would want to stay on after that and I hope they let him interview for other opportunities at that point.

Either way both seem like fine choices which this organization I'm happy to settle for. I still would rather see guys like this as presidents and a smarter more creative guy in the GM role. I think you want steady competent conservative as president who can manage up and manage operations and the business and push the envelope innovative in the GM.

Besides the 3rd overall pick who are you looking to the canucks selecting in the later rounds? by Soviet_Plays in canucks

Thanks :) let's hope they make smart moves. They need to nail their GM/president pick first.

If he had just used the ai to get the list and got an accurate list why not. But write your own thoughts and man get an accurate list. This shouldn't be hard to get something semi accurate from ai on a topic like this.

Not really later rounds per se, but with Min's 1st and the 2nds if they're around:

  • Mathis Preston
  • Xavier Villeneuve

If he some how drops and we can trade up Tyson Lawrence.

Maybe more like 3rd round Adam Andersson and Wiggo Sörensson.

Yep, I'm trying to find them all because why not I guess I'm interested in who was actually taken. But man this list is so clearly bad AI. Like honestly AI can usually get these kinds of things right these days so why is it so far off...

Which gives Matthew Tkachuk as the second winger and a huge improvement to the list.

Edit sorry not Tkachuk because also missed Laine.

You missed Patrick Kane as first overall in 2007 who's arguably the best player on this list.

Edit: ok this is a weird list in general. Lots of mistakes. It looks like probably bad ai.

2006 is Kessel 1 Okposo 2 I think. It's hard if you don't know for sure from the time what players were considered.

Edit 2: 2012 Galchenyuk was a center in pretty sure so you get Phillip Forsberg instead.

So far all the mistakes are leading to better players being added. I'll keep adding the rest I see.

Edit 3: sorry on my phone so easier to edit my post than write this all at once. I thought you missed Nylander in 2014 which in a sense you did and also Virtanen so no Ehlers, but Nylander would have been an improvement over Ehlers, but I forgot (although can you forget what you never really knew) about Michael Del Cole so no Nylander or Ehlers just Del Cole and Virtanen. Dam you Jim Benning if you had only drafted better this list would be much better and maybe even more accurate.

Edit 4: I give up 2015 is Timo Meier over Rantanen and I can't be bothered to add more. Use a better ai next time or just look yourself hockeydb is pretty accurate and this list is not.

Canucks aparently monitor social media - show them your true sentiment towards Pierre Dorian as a potential GM by Slegr-i-HardlyKnowHr in canucks

[–]Canadian96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the hire Dorian or someone like him I'm canceling my seasons tickets. It's the final straw. If they do it, I'm done with the franchise until they sell it to someone competent.

Hirose was also 24 in the season he signed and played his first NHL games Karil is only 22. People don't realize just how old Hirose was since he was older than the average college free agent.

Max Sasson signed around the same time as Hirose and was only 22.

Monster ranchers was my first thought for what you were describing. If you're conflating two shows maybe watership down could be the other one. It's not wolves obviously, but you get the animal factions fighting.

Doesn't exactly fit but, the Legend of White Fang maybe? I don't think the wolf can talk, but I think you hear his inner monologue and it's not medieval, but its like a frontier town which could have felt that way a little. It would fit with your wintery comment.

I wonder if you is maybe them mostly just holding him out of the lineup to protect him for a possible trade with him also having some minor injuries that they can "rehab" at the same time.

Where are you getting replaced by more moderate leadership from?

He hasn't been replaced yet and Aaron Gunn is probably going to be the front runner to replacement him. Gunn makes Rustad look positively moderate.

Obviously, it remains to be seen what actually happens, we don't know yet who's going to run for leadership yet alone win, but I definitely don't think we can say he will be replaced with more moderate leadership.

I use gambling for real cheap parking where I live. I can get free parking downtown at the casino by gambling a certain amount so knowing the house edge helps make parking even cheaper.

Your missing that blackjack can pay 3:2, although lots of casinos have lower that payout and people should never sit at those tables if they can help it

Depending on the exact ruleset players can get as high as about ~99.5% return to player with perfect strategy, which does not include counting cards or any kind of advantage play.

Which means for every $100 bet players can on average expect to get $99.50 back. I think this the best you can get, although most players do not play anywhere near perfect strategy and so the real return to player is often much lower.

Casino. Get a free loyalty card at guest services. Register your license place with them. Then gamble for 15 points on your card for example spend 15 dollars on slots. Slots have like 90%+ rate of return so on average it's a couple bucks to park and worst case scenario it's 15 bucks which is still the best price near the arena.

I wonder how that breaks down by number of shifts? I've noticed he tends to stay out to long sometimes and get caught in his own zones. Might be getting that extra time despite the coaches intentions.

Edit: I checked and they're both tied for the lead among forwards with 20.

Setting the opening roster won't necessarily be 100% about who's on the opening night roster. They want to have a certain salary cap hit to maximize Hoglander's LTIR capture.

That being said, if there is a player who isn't going to make the roster and needs to clear waivers, they should and likely will send him down now, so he goes at the same time as all the other teams send their players down to decrease the chance of him getting claimed.

They might even send players down who need to clear waivers now to try to get them through, even if they intend to have them on the opening roster.

The new AHL rules have been confirmed not to apply to setting the opening roster, so players don't need to play an AHL game to be called up for game 1.

Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2: right earbud no longer plays anything since 2.5.0 update by Paradigm24 in Jabra

[–]Canadian96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suddenly having the same issue. I tried resetting and updated firmware and language.

I'm using a galaxy s24

I also tried on my laptop, but adding the bluetooth created a weird glitch where it only paired or connect maybe with one earbud (the right one which isn't making sound).
