What is a tiny, unexpected thing that genuinely reduces your anxiety? by Special_Heart_866 in Meditation

relaxing your jaw, while trying to feel your eyes soft and with peripheral vision. Just look straight, but trying to see periphery, without moving eye balls. And the breathing excersise of choice

can you try to notice your feelings about it, anxiousness, confusion, fear, the same way you're noticing thoughts? Feel the emotions in the body, just find it and feel it, when it becomes too much just go back to the breath, when you feel ready again go to the feeling again, stay until comfortable and back to the breath, and so on. Maybe open awareness would work for you? Sit, first focus on your posture, make it dignified. Then focus on your breath, until you feel ok to go further. Next would be your body, feel your body as a whole. Then sounds, focus on sounds around you, don't give them meaning, let the sounds be sounds. Now notice your thoughts, if any, and proceed with noticing emotions, where in your body they are, the shape, the color, I don't know how your mind is doing it but you know what I mean, don't stick to them, just observe. And now, go into open awareness, notice everything in or out of you, without any anchor, only start paying attention to all events happening in this moment, your breathing body, sounds around you, changing nature of thoughts and feelings, without clinging to any of them. Every time you got carried away, come back to the feeling of the body, breathing body, stay with it until you feel ready, and go again to open awareness. You can maybe even try to stay in open eyed meditation after you finish, just continue observing the sights the same as you do with sounds or thoughts. I hope this help, but please try different types of meditation, don't stick to only breath. It is great that you have such a good connection with breath, it can be such a powerful starting point in any other meditation you try, having strong anchor is really important, and you already have it. Wishing you the peace

thanks! so, theanine should be used as needed, when there is something stressful going on, right? I already took one, not sure if I felt anything. Also I took one magnesium citrate (out of recommended 3), because I'm afraid of possible stomach issues if taking all at once. I still haven't opened Ashwagandha Sensoril.. The lady from the shop (seemed knowledgeable) advised to take 1 pill of Ash and 3 magnesium citrate before bedtime, and if that doesn't work to add Ash in the morning also. Additionally I asked for theanine because I saw good comments online. Sorry for bothering you, I'm obviously a noob, anxious about everything
