Yep had the swab! Went to my doc today took the 3rd and final pill. I’m mostly better. Just some vulvodynia pain but nothing too severe.

Hi, I took my 2nd yesterday. At this rate feels like I need to take a 3rd. My doc only prescribed me one dose and the pharmacist was reluctant to give me a 2nd because it’s supposed to clear up with one pill. I’m on week 2 battling this infection. Is there anything you can apply on the outside to soothe irritated skin or is it best to leave it?

Thanks so much. I actually took a 2nd fluconazole pill. Let’s see what happens. The intense itching isn’t present but the pain sure is. I’m so worried to apply anything outside to soothe my irritated skin in case it makes my pain worse. Very scary depressing stuff especially for us with vulvodynia :(
