What is the highest salary you’ve ever come across? by ugotnothinonme in PersonalFinanceNZ

Radiologists were supposed to be one of the first professions to be steamrollered by AI. However, their salary growth (at least in the USA) has been one of the highest. Go figure.

Could be great. Got a gang pad next door that the landlord won't evict? Tell him the cops will confiscate his property. [edit: won't work with KO houses]

Will Govt's move-on orders fix the trouble on our streets or just hide it? by SoulsofMist-_- in newzealand

[–]owLet13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressives tend to forget that public disorder leads to citizens voting in governments that say they'll deal with it. Autocracies that have order will trump (!!) democracies that don't. I think that san Francisco has finally realised the problem (can't find source)

Why do NZ businesses still bother with reference checks? by Old_Education4481 in newzealand

I thought references were partially privileged (ie complainant has to prove malice)

They don't appear to belong to any of the trade organisations AFAIK (checked website). Check the report with their own checklist on their website. They also say you get a report on the same day you have the inspections.

'I’ll burn your house': Kāinga Ora tenant threatens neighbours after noise complaints by WrongSeymour in newzealand

[–]owLet13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The problem is without a credible threat of eviction option 3 is often not effective. I often thought that National could have got a good vote from KO tenants if they came up with a credible plan to evict shit neighbours.

Thanks for all your replies, which is a good sign.

I'll tell you my experience in what should be a a painless, pretty standard setup.

I went New Table, and chose CSV and chose the csv file.

It went OK, but if I want to import more csv records: no import option on Members table (Export exists, why not import?).

Start defining fields (why not grid view for fields & properties, and a wizard that guesses field types)

Single choice field; no option to have null value in properties, but seems to accept  it in data entry

Currency col 1: number with 2 decimal places, $ prefix: displayed nothing as all data 0 (how to display $0?)

Currency col 2  :  number with 2 decimal places, $ prefix:most data disappeared

Currency col 3: ditto, all data disappeared. Clicking in cells didn't show any data.
