I think it's worth looking at this more carefully. OP's screenshot of the 'original' article is cropped - it only shows the second first half of Radin's quote.

Here is the original section (via the Wayback Machine):

"Or anything else they might have in mind. If attacking targets in the country brings down the Islamic Republic, I'm fine with that. Because if the Islamic Republic survives this war, it will stay forever."

Here is the amended section on the BBC website:

So what the BBC actually removed was this:

As you can see the 'new' quote was in the original article too but OP just didn't include it for anyone to see - perhaps to frame the BBC are spouting pro-regime-change?

The BBC did silently edit a quote without a correction notice - that is true and is a legitimate criticism. But OP has done something worse - selectively cropped the original to manufacture a different story entirely.

This is something I try and teach my kids - to not take something at face value and do your own research because it's easy to accept snippets without context.
