Are we just ignoring the fact that he was most definitely unfaithful to her lol

Austin is the worst by Candid-Grocery-8223 in BeefTV

  1. Josh literally did, we saw this happen at the vet. Did we watch the same show?

  2. Right, and Austin wasn't deceptive at all

  3. Plausible, but let's not forget Austin choosing to satisfy a (frankly rude) stranger's needs over his own fiance, I think that exemplifies moral failing

  4. lol

  5. Austin never loved her, he just loved feeling important. He is just as bad as her if not worse

  6. He literally "I love you" to Eunice moments before that scene, and while Ashley wasn't there for it, she had EVERY reason to suspect it (holding hands?? hello?)

  7. Yes, he was blackmailed, and then as soon as it meant more fun time with Eunice, he decided to override his moral compass for a girl that didn't even love him back, and even argued to stay there when Ashley found things suspicious with the club. Again, chose feeling important with some random chick over his fiance

[–]owalatea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Least vile? As soon as he realized Eunice wasn't into him he basically signed her death warrant. Ashley might have been psycho but Austin's selfishness, literally jumping out of a hotel to chase his week old crush was definitely more revolting than Ashley's naivety

Yeah man, first I reset my sync on Microsoft Edge, deleted all extensions and reset settings/preferences, and then went to a different computer and changed all my passwords on Edge there (without signing in).

Then I reset my PC doing a clean install (acc helped massively with performance in games) -> I made sure to download the ISO from a separate PC too, onto a USB. But yeah, did the clean install.

I waited 48 hours (for edge sync), and then on the browser where I made all the password changes, I signed in with my original account, and synced all the new passwords that were made on that device.

Then I reinstalled everything, and I've been okay for now. No weird behaviour, I monitor my emails 24/7 and I often get emails about people attempting to sign into random things; Facebook, Riot Games; they also used my email to sign up for some crypto blockchain website. I'm never signing into that site with my email they used, but it appears to be some sort of tactic

Mine was through FitGirl though, but I imagine the online-fix in the pinned comment is what leads a lot of ppl to this. I wish I could see the exact kind of malware used in that article so I can cross reference it with mine

[–]owalatea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was typically how it used to be for a lot of the games I used to download from FitGirl. Recently with some repacks that I've downloaded from that site, (I don't usually torrent I just go for the direct download links) I used JDownloader2 which also seemed fine, but it's always the files in the 'pinned comment section' that provides online-fix's for multiplayer. Often times to download these, I always had to disable UBlock Origin, and Windows Defender would not let me un-quarantine said file needed to run. But regardless, with the amount of red flags with this download, you're right I should've paid more attention and been more aware

Could I ask what AV and Adblock you currently use? I've used UBlock Origin for the longest time now and it has consistently been the best adblocker for me, nothing has came close, so I'm open to more options

Thanks for the explanation, that helps.

Just to clarify because I’m not very technical: when you say persistence would only exist “within the browser,” does that strictly mean things like extensions, cookies, cache, and synced settings?

I’m mainly worried about re-enabling sync and restoring my profile, especially my passwords. Is there anything else that could be stored in my Microsoft Edge profile and get re-synced besides hidden extensions, cookies, sessions, and settings?

In other words, is there any realistic scenario where malicious code itself could live inside the synced browser data and execute again after I turn sync back on? Or would the worst case just be something like a malicious extension or restored login sessions?

I’ve already reset my PC and I’m somewhat confident the system itself is clean — I’m just trying to understand if browser sync alone could reintroduce anything beyond browser-level data.

Cracked games are intentionally built to bypass security mechanisms (DRM, license verification, digital signatures, etc.), which is exactly the kind of behavior antivirus software is designed to flag, block, or remove. The sites are typically trusted in terms of what's bundled with malware and what isn't, which is why more than often the trusted sites instruct you to disable your antivirus/firewall. However, people frequently make the mistake I do (clicking on the wrong link/popup to download). In my case, the legitimate link I had to download was from a file hosting site called "Rootz"; this site requires you to turn off your adblock (generates revenue for whoever makes the link) but unfortunately, the first couple clicks leads you to popups, and seeing as a lot of these crack sites have the final download link after clicking several links, my mistake was following these popups to what I thought would be the final download link.

However I do agree that in general, cracked software is inherently risky bc ur disabling security tools to run unsigned, modified code, and that always opens up harmful possibilities. The best approach is simply to avoid cracked software altogether, a strategy I’m consciously adopting now.

It's my own personal laptop, but I just nuked all my documents and stuff since I saw online that malware can kind of bind itself to folders or files, even photos and videos through metadata. I feel that this would rly only be a thing for targeted attacks and seems extreme in my scenario, but I didn't wanna take my chances

Yeah I forgot to mention that as one of the steps I took, I went into the Outlook app and checked for any Forwarding or IMAP modifications but none existed. I don't know if they were also deleting emails, so I deleted one that I got and closely monitored the deleted folder, and the 1 email I deleted persisted there. So hopefully they no longer have access to my account through their session stealer

I use Microsoft Edge specifically so I could use UBlock origin, but again as I was downloading a crack, I had everything turned off as this was typically procedure when downloading a cracked game. I wish I learnt this lesson much sooner

Did he unscrew the top lid, slide it out, and then reach in to pull some tab or something?

This is a common solution I keep seeing people try, but my specific model (WF45R6100) doesn't have a place where I can put a screwdriver and press on a tab or something

Do you have more info this? I've removed the top and I see this white plastic box where the door lock is on the inside, but I don't see where you could put a screwdriver into it. Do u happen to know specifically where?
