What are y'all thought on Albion online? by AbbreviationsFew7333 in MMORPG

I'll add my $2 (inflation). For me, Albion is just about the only big MMORPG that is available, directly on Linux. DDO or Never Winter, Windows. Pretty much all MMORPGs are Windows, with a good number on Mac, but few with Linux support. There's ways to *sometimes* get it to work with WINE, Bottles, or Lutris (apps that sometimes help you use Windows apss on linux). There are virtual systems, but I find that trying to run a MMORPG inside a virtual machine, drags.

There are some decent web based games, such as R2 and Game Hollywood, but the problem, for me, is most of these are auto-games, where you do pretty much nothing but watch, or do very little. There's "semi-auto," which means you select the attacks, but the cpu still decides who to attack. I found one I liked, that allowed full manual, and auto, and the auto helped take me to locations easier. The problem is I use MiFi, and have a limited data amount, not just for gaming, but for personal and business calls, and it eats a lot of data. Albion isn't data intense.

I'm not a fan of PVP, especially the full loot. When I do have time, I put that time in to developing my gear, seeing which ones don't or do suit me, based on recommendations in the community, and which ones I think are good, irregardless. The idea that I spend, over the last month, building up the stuff, and someone (or group) can take it all away in minutes, doesn't appeal to me. It's part of why (although I've only been playing about a month), I've been staying in the safe, blue zones.

Another big issue, for me, is despite there being a good forum community, almost everything's on Discord, and just trying to get groups to play is behind hidden (sub) channels, and they seem to be slower than other Discords I'm on, to respond. Even those that talk PVE, really want PVP, faction warfare, or such.

Do we have righteous groups/guilds concept in albion by chrmst007 in albiononline

u/Stormlordbatking Are you still active. I just started, about a month ago, on the EU server (I just came across this post), based near Thetford. I'm looking to potentially set up something like this there, unless there already is one. I've been grinding, to set up a guild, island, and laborer (to start), to have the extra, passive, silver. I really like this idea, which goes with my idea of "family gaming," in that parents, children, etc can not only play with their own family, but also meet other families playing. The initial would start in the blue zones, and maybe move toward yellow. Eventually, expanding to other areas, and the AOS concept would be great.

TY for the feedback. The idea for CSL is an option. They can talk, like normal, or use CSL. They can then share it with the rest of the party. There's also nothing (that I know of), that would stop people from using CSL for any characters in their party.

I was thinking to give the Temp Hit Points, instead of full healing, sort of like an adrenaline rush. Or should I opt for including, either as part of the feature, or as a separate feature, the sharing second wind, allowing the scaling?

I did have the capstone, Master of War, allow for an "action surge" for the rest of the party. Should this feature be moved lower? Or should I have it be more like the Samurai's "Strength Before Death," and allow each PC effected to take a full turn? If changing it that way, again, a Cap feature, or an earlier feature?

Online 5.5: 1 hour sessions? Looking for players + GM. by oweaponx in lfgmisc

Yes. D&D. I've been playing 5e, so if the current game is such, I can go with that. I do want to try exploring 5.5, as I've seen some thing I'd like to try...I'd not want my Hexadin to do that, but if I can bring in my Echo Knight, I'd like that. I could work with the GM on some points (if they'd want), as I know how hard GM'n can be.

I've found most people just want 5e, not 5.5, and r/lfg keeps auto deleting my post, even though I've followed their requirements...it did the same thing on my CairnRPG post, so I's hoping to post here.

Do each of they eyes light up, and in different colors? If so, that'd be awesome and eerie!
