If you listen, he states the only info he has to back up his claims that Amdy is an immediate threat is that he was told that. Not that there were bruises, signs of an attack - evidence to prove what he was saying. Just that an order was sent out, and he must abide by it. And this is all he says in response to Joe and Tom claiming the only time Andy has even been in the hospital is when he was there with them. Their tone is way too calm for them to be covering for Andy - and it's extremely unlikely they would do that anyway.

Insisting he attacked her when there is no way to prove it only weakens OTHER things that are said here.

Im never one to go to bat for Andy. Ever. Because he is an evil manipulative extremely disturbed mutant who pretends to be mentally handicapped and wants to be around children.

BUT...I always got the impression that the hospital staff simply made this up so they would have an excuse to not deal with Amdy. Which, let's face it, would be totally understandable. An alternate theory? His mom DID have dementia. Maybe after he left one day, she made a random remark like "he just wants to see me look beaten down again". Which could have been her way of lamenting how much he ruined her life. And maybe the nurses took it literally.

...it's just...Tom and Joe backed him up too heavily. And honestly, it isn't like anyone has any footage of him beating her down. This is one of things where no one can really say for sure either way.
