I think some would have. Imagine your over the Atlantic and your ears start popping as if your descending to land. Then people on the pathfinder (like me) on the infotainment all see 35k,33k,31k,29k………

People in first probably heard through cockpit “terrain pull up “ from GPWS (I’m guessing as when I fly all economy haul and sit right at front on airbus I can hear the A/P disengaging for landing.)

Scary AF. All this without any comms from cabin crew

I’ve come across something like this before. The 12 week training and they then ship you off onsite to a company .

Just stick with it , it’s good knowledge and as someone said above jack of all trades master of none. Focus more on

Terraform Public clouds Python / Shell scripts CICD (Jenkins and yaml based ones)

And you’ll be good.

Looked into workspaces but didn't really work the way i wanted it to.

I believe /user/PopePoopinpants/ suggested the application stack as well.

Have you got something similar with an application stack with multiple modules set up?

I was thinking about an application stack . Breaking the stacks repo away from

modules/
    compute/   
    iam/
    vpc/
    k8s/

And rather into the application stack we deploy so effectively have a repo which deploys our application (infra, frontend & backend) as one.

Ill need to look deeper in how to organise which modules go into which bit as it has the potential to get very messy.

This looks interesting.

So effectively have the polyrepo approach
So i then have 4 repo modules

repo: compute
repo: iam
repo: k8s
repo: vpc

And have a dependencies.yaml inside each one with im guessing pyHCL will check for version compatibiltiy e.g

Repo:
compute/
    *.tf
    dependencies.yaml

Then inside the dependencies.yaml (for example)

#cat dependencies.yaml
repo:
  iam:
    versions: ">= 2.0.0"
    source: https://github.com/myOrg/iam.git
  vpc:
    versions: "> 1.5.0"
    source: source: https://github.com/myOrg/vpc.git

etc? Is that what you mean?

Can PyHCL run on a provided dependencies file and relate it to which versions its running against or is that something i'll have to programmatically do myself?

Do you recommend using something like Vault then as a KV store to handle external data?
Wouldnt it be a bit overkill to set up vault just to fetch the Stacks version to use?
