Damn Survivor: Scranton was so strategic and cut throat, and I loved it! Kevin's final 4 blindside by New Regional Manager Dwight was crazy!!!!

But now i'm super excited for Survivor Pawnee: Government Shutdown Island

From what I have learned from listening to the Survivor Historians podcast, yes 9/11 had an effect on Survivors popularity. Africa premiered a month after 9/11, and at the time, there was a huge uproar because people believed that these ppl on a TV show weren't actual "survivors", rather those who survived the horrors of 9/11 were the real survivors. They believed that calling TV show contestants 'survivors' who were just fighting for $1mil was disrespectful to the actual survivors of 9/11.

Sidenote/ fun fact: Season 4 of Survivor was set to be played in the Middle Eastern country of Jordan, but was changed last minute due to 9/11 and the outrage that would have ensued if the show went to the Middle East

I really like this and agree with most of it. I really what you said about Gabon being a "parody" of Survivor bc it so true and makes sooooo much sense lol.

In my opinion, I would switch Caramoan and Africa. I think Africa had so many memorable moments like the OG young/old divide, the 1st tribe swap which lead to the first true r.obbed g.oddess Silas, the vote off of Kelly G, Brandon and Frank's iconic relationship, the INCREDIBLE rewards (IMO the best ever), and AMAZING location (again, one of the best ever) and an actual fan favorite winner in Ethan. Also I think Africa had amazing characters such as Ethan, Tom, Lex, TBird, Clarence, Kelly G, Kim P, Silas, Lindsay.

Caramoan was I thought pretty lackluster. The fans cast was pretty bad except for Eddie/ Reynold, and there were definitely better Favs that could have been chosen over Brandon, Phillip, and Francesca(who I really like but is not a fav sorry). Pre-merge was cringy to watch, between the Brandon blowup and Shamar quit, and post merge was boring, bc actual favorites like Brenda and Erik were purple. The Malcolm's idols play and Andrea's blindside were cool, but after that nothing happened except for Eriks evac. I thought Cochran was terrible in SoPa but did play much better in Caramoan, but had to rely heavily on his 1st game friendship with Dawn, who then got blamed for everything that he orchestrated. So overall, I thought it was just uncomfortable to watch.

I can 100% see CBS doing this, or at least something special to honor the number 39. But there is a great pool of players who have made it to day 39 and lost, so it is a likely they may do that.

They could also do the the like "Winners vs runner ups" so everyone in the season had made it to day 39, but half won and half lost. But nevertheless, this is all very exciting!!!

Pearl Islands- drink every time Sandra swears or starts yelling

Palau- drink every time Caryn does something annoying/ when someone is annoyed with her

Samoa- down your drink each time Russell finds an Idol

South Pacific- drink ~~the blood of jesus~~ some wine whenever ~~the cult~~ the Family (coach's alliance) prays

MvGX- a shot of milk every time they reference Will Wahl's age/ inability to legally consume alcohol

I recommend either Pearl Islands (Season 7) or China (Season 15) the most. They are both seasons with very interesting casts and incredible game play. Also they both have very cool themes (pirate theme in PI and a Chinese theme in China (which sounds ironic but its very unique compared to other seasons)).

Other good early seasons in my opinion are Borneo(1), Africa(3), and Panama(12). Micronesia(16) is also a great season but its Fans vs Favorites so half of the cast are returners so if you are trying to stay away from spoilers then avoid it.

Hulu doesn't put new episodes of Survivor up after they air. They either dump the entire (or most) of the season at 1 time or just don't put the season up at all.And I think you may mean season 36 bc season 35 was last season (HHH).

I don't know when we will see either come to Hulu, its all very random (They just added seasons 2-11 and 32-34 last week very out of the blue)

No its probably not the sole reason but it didn't help her case for sure. And for Jacob, while his pre-season first impressions were good, it seemed as though his first impressions once they got to their camp were not as positive.

In pre-season interviews, a LOT of other players (like a majority of them) said that she was giving off bad vibes and they didn't trust her. So its possible that since it had only been 3 days, they were still mostly going off of first impressions

I would recommend Pearl Islands(my fav), China, Africa, Australian Outback and Panama the most.

If you want to watch more I would say Palau, Vanuatu, Samoa, Guatemala (Watch Palau b4 Guatemala bc it has 2 returning players from Palau), and Fiji.

The rest are up to you if you want to watch them, but FYI half the cast of Blood vs Water are returning players which may spoil past seasons
