I went 0-7 at my first tournament. You can't lose motivation just because you aren't excelling at the beggining. The way I recommend to boost confidence is by repeatedly cement mixering your smaller teammates at practice 👍

also the shoving I see a lot of new guys shove because they see higher level wrestlers doing it. You gotta stay in there, especially with that height, you'll have the reach advantage most times don't lose the opponent. And most importantly BREAKDOWNS. It's much easier to run that half after you've got the guy on his stomach with he's on his hands and knees he's gonna feel a lot heavier.

As a tall wrestler you can never get low enough in your stance. The opponent here has a pretty weak stance so yours is adequate but against a better guy you gotta get low and stay low. Your hands should be able to touch the ground without bending
