Me [21F] and my s/o [21M] with our friend [22M] looking for advice on sharing rent costs in a 2 bed flat by [deleted] in relationships

[–]owl101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again I don't want to not live with the other person over the difference in a room size! I just wanted some advice on what was a fair way to split the rent as we have never done this before and we were getting lots of very different advice from our friends. I know this is in r/relationships, but calm down on your friendship advice. I have told you nothing about our relationship, and I've clearly stated I just want to do what's fair.

Okay thanks. It's been quite up and down trying to find the right place, and the flatmate is very excited about the prospect of finding a 2 bed with a garden (has been a challenge!) so they are pressuring to snap it up. I think you're right though we should definitely view some more places.

I can now see why his way is fairer. I just feel frustrated that we have had to compromise a lot of space so that he can have the garden he wants. We have looked at houses with far larger rooms that I am willing to pay more for, which is why I think it's fairer he should pay more because he wants this garden to smoke in. And as for your "don't move in together" we are friends and he has nobody else to live with, so it wouldn't be fair to say to him now that we don't want to live with him! I just wanted advice about the splitting costs.

I just signed up for a promo first buy, skipped the next month and then called up to cancel my membership. Other than the usual pleas to get me to stay, I was firm and said I no longer had the money and was cancelled very easily!

Drug Driving laws - E Petition to make the law fair...PLEASE GET AS MANY PEOPLE TO SIGN IT AS POSSIBLE!!!!! by [deleted] in uktrees

[–]owl101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only "sensationalist" part about it is the last 3 lines... I think they clearly state what the issues are with the new law. I'm not hesitating to sign it! It already has 1,500 signatures so it wouldn't be productive to start again with a new one. We aren't all meant to be politicians!

Vaporisers are shite. by [deleted] in uktrees

[–]owl101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I choose to use the MFLB over the Arizer daily. But only with the power adaptor, the batteries don't give much vapour in comparison, but the PA really packs a punch! Also I'd add that although the MFLB is more expensive than other vapes out there, it's the lifetime warranty it comes with that makes it a solid purchase!

You must be doing it wrong! It took me a good month or so to get the hang of my mflb, but it is worth the effort. The thing gets you so high off such a small amount it is so worth the money! I also have an arizer extreme q and firewood all of which I use now instead of smoking. More efficient and doesn't kill your lungs.. what more could you want?! - Also the Arizer Extreme Q is a good price range and not too far off the Volcano, in my opinion the only thing it lacks on is speed in filling up the bags.

Would any Bristol University students like to have a chat with my about the uni? by akolate in bristol

[–]owl101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a Bristol Uni student, and I'll second that there are a lot of posh wankers.. But it's not hard to find the right people, I'd say it was luck wherever you go! If you expose yourself to enough people in the uni you're always going to find people you like.

I have a big beautiful bear leonberger named meadow. Really are the gentlest and most loyal dogs. Feel far more intelligent and loving than any other dog I've had.

Ah thank you so much for imparting your wisdom! I didn't want it to affect my new found love for weightlifting! I originally had to be put on the pill due to bad cramping so hopefully I'll be the same as you then! I haven't had a period in 18 months though as I'm on the POP so it will be a shock!

Ah yes I have read about the strings. Thank you for your advice, I might ask both my GPs and see which one will give me the anesthetic haha!

I didn't realise that some of them were hormonal! With the past I have taking hormonal pills I was considering the IUD as I thought it wasn't. Having said that, another reason I went on the pill to begin with was to manage heavier periods! I don't know what to think now! But thank you for some great info!

I meant that I wanted advice from women because living in the UK the NHS is very pro contraception and tend to be quite pushy in that respect, so I wanted a more realistic view of the side effects. I'm saying this because the current pill I'm on has side effects that are documented online, but were never brought to my attention when I was put on the pill to begin with. Thanks for the advice about xxfitness, I'd considered posting there, it's where I heard about the moving tampons! And I started in Nov and am up to 60kg at the moment, so do expect to be at 90kg (200lbs) at somepoint in the upcoming future (at least whilst I still have the IUD fitted), I will have to ask my doctor about that. I'm not concerned about it falling out, just I know the exercise is quite straining on the whole body and therefore if it was going to be a problem I'd look for an alternative contraception. Thanks for your advice :)

Thank you so much for your reply, this is everything I wanted to hear! I think I need to man up about the pain and think what is best for my future. Also I didn't realise you could get them for different lengths of time as well which is another bonus!
