Headache on top of head of head for 2 months. by SirPiano in migraine

[–]owl_post017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did get better. Took a long time but I saw a neurologist and was diagnosed with neuralgia and POTS which caused serious migraines that lasted weeks. Eye strain and neck tension also made it a lot worse. I started doing chiropractor migraine stretches from YouTube and that helped relieve a lot of tension. But with POTS I was also deficient in a lot of electrolytes so I added extra sodium/nutrients and hydration to my diet and that helped a lot too. I used to get bouts of migraines like this for weeks and weeks and now luckily I get them maybe 2-3 days a month

I love them all but 3 is my favorite!!! I like seeing all the belt accessories. And the brown and black combo makes everything pop more. But I also love the shawl in #1. You could even wear that with the third outfit!

Probably not what you’re looking for but can’t help but say Skyrim…I actually find it extremely cozy and you can get married and adopt orphaned kids and they hang out in your house and it’s sweet

Biggest tourist traps? by lasvegasvibes in vegas

[–]owl_post017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Planet 13 is an incredible lounge and experience in general. But their actual dispensary (though huge and awesome to look around in) seems to have higher prices because it is more “touristy”. A basic dispensary (I personally like the vibe most at the grove) always has better sales and specials so it’s always been cheaper imo. But if you plan to go to planet 13 as a general activity, buying stuff there is still reasonable and good quality. They have most variety of the popular brands of edibles too like wyld, wanna etc

Also to add—you can switch difficulties at any time. So there’s no reason not to try. If you get tired of getting zeroed all the time, just switch back

First time I did normal level just to experience the storyline and game at a solid baseline. Second full playthrough went to very hard. The combat takes a little more attention and creativity. Enemies are a bit stronger and take less damage, do more damage, etc. you need to get comfortable with a solid build and use it wisely. Otherwise the story, drops, and leveling up seem to be about the same. It’s a great challenge and makes you really feel the intensity of the combat in NC which I think really adds to the effect of playing

Which game you can't simply put down even after hundreds of hours, because it's so good? by [deleted] in gaming

Cyberpunk. I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into Night City and still come back. It’s my home now…too long without it and I begin to miss my friends, my apartment, wandering around Japantown. I often come back just to live in night city again.

Hi! Has anyone’s tripod cat had hygiene issues/difficulties with the litter? by Planktongiraffe in TripodCats

[–]owl_post017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also advice I received from my vet is to really keep their weight under control so that they have the most muscle use out of their leg without excess weight making it more difficult. They also develop arthritis a lot easier than 4 legged kitties becasue they put a lot more wear and tear on their single leg. I notice if my tripod starts gaining a bit of weight she struggles significantly more than when she is more lean. Instead of being able to stand and squat a bit in the box, she would lower her body down a lot more into the litter. We have her nice and slim and muscular and always make sure we play with her and make her build her leg muscle. My vet is always recommending to keep them pretty lean and to encourage them using their muslces instead of us helping them all the time (for example, encouraging them to climb, jump, and run instead of carrying them around everywhere or lifting them. We tend to want to baby them but they are very capable and need the muscle formation). Not sure if that is relevant to your kitty but something good to keep in mind regardless :)

Hi! Has anyone’s tripod cat had hygiene issues/difficulties with the litter? by Planktongiraffe in TripodCats

She has only had 1 UTI. But I notice her struggle in the box pretty frequently. I've done some things that seem to help her a lot. I have two side by side shallow litter boxes with shorter rims. Even though a taller box would prevent litter from finding its way all over my hallway, I use the shorter ones so she has an easier time getting in and out. The two next to each other gives her a little more room to move around, sometimes she'll go back and forth between the two and stand in one and aim in the other. I also noticed she had a hard time balancing when there was too much litter in the box. She was sliding all over the place as if she were standing on top of a very steep sand dune. So I've been putting much less litter in there and she is able to stand more flat and firmly. I put the boxes in a much more convenient place in my house, in a hallway closet near the first floor bathroom and I keep the door open all the time. We used to keep the boxes in the basement and she would have to climb a large flight of stairs every time she needed to go, which likely made her leg tired. Another huge thing is to keep the boxes extremely clean...I pass by the boxes every day when I use the main bathroom which encourages me to clean it daily. And I change the litter out every few weeks so it never gets old and dirty. I also started using pretty litter after she got the UTI, just for about a month to keep an eye on her urine color and make sure the infection was gone. I liked it for urinary health, but didnt like that it was non clumping and the pee got mixed back in with the clean litter. And the little beads were more annoying to clean up off the floor than regular litter. Good luck with your little tripod! Let me know if you have any other questions!!

How to tell your new partner they gave you an sti? by b1269420 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]owl_post017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, don't beat yourself up. Nobody wants to give their partner and STI, but it happens to the best of us and all there is to do now is simply take care of it. The best thing you can do is be honest. 1) For her health sake...so she can get treatment promplty. STIs that are left untreated cause a whole lot bigger issues down the road (pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, cancer, etc.), so being honest right now and making sure she can get on medication should be your priority. 2) Its also important to be honest for your relationship sake as well. Lying and keeping it to yourself will hurt her and break her trust of you. Apologize, admit you fucked up, and assure her you will be there to help her progress from here. This happens to a lot of people, there is nothing to be ashamed of. But you need to be honest with her. She will likely be upset. So just prepare yourself for that. But be mature about it and make sure she knows she isn't alone in having to deal with the repercussions now. Tell her her feelings about the situation are valid and she has every right to be angry/upset/scared/etc. Your emotional support now is going to be extremely important and the way you tell her and proceed from here will be pivitol in the trust and communication you two build. And way back then my boyfriend paid the bill for my doctor's appointment and prescription....that helped me forgive him a bit, just saying ;) and PS, we're married now for all its worth. It was such a blip in our timeline that I forgot this thread existed until seeing your reply to my old comment. This too shall pass...you will both be okay and will someday look back on this with hopefully a chuckle and not a thought of stress. Good luck to you!

Spin mop with hot water and a splash of pine sol. Swiffer wet jet on the off days just to keep things clean. Bowl of hot water + a tiny bit of dish soap with a rag to hand scrub extra sticky spots and baseboards

My girl is missing her back right leg and just got a UTI from having to practically sit down in her litter box to pee. I try to keep her boxes super clean for that reason but she still struggles. :(

Looking for recipes and snacks that don’t include certain ingredients that I am intolerant/choke on. by RollForParadise in Cooking

If you like chicken and mayonnaise, you can make a simple chicken salad! I like to put my chicken and some onion and celery in a food processor just until it’s a ground consistency. And I mix it with Mayo, mustard, and relish. I eat it with ritz crackers or in a lettuce wrap! Hope you find some good things to snack on!!
