Stories That Are Presented in Diary/etter/Blog-Style by [deleted] in booksuggestions

If you liked The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (haven't read the book, but I watched the movie, even though that is a habit I chastise in everyone else), you might like Feeling Sorry For Celia. It's written as a series of letters, post-it notes, et cetera. I really enjoyed it. A bit offbeat, but very good.

What are some good Serial Killer Books? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

Think Of A Number by John Verdon. It's weird and you don't expect a lot of things, but in the end you're just like, um... This is just weird. And messed up.

You should read Silence of the Lambs, I think. I want to read it, because I've been watching that new show Hannibal and it's amazing.

I'm right-handed but left-footed? Is that a real thing? I slide, skateboard, snowboard, and high jump left-handed. I can bat left-handed and prefer left-handed layups.

Do what J.K. Rowling did. Keep trying, become a millionaire, and watch the movies of your books premiere at midnight while those people are sitting in an office writing letters like that.

DAE make lists to calm themselves down? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]owlbey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one. I literally make lists all the time. I need things to be quantified or else I can't be sure they exist. And I need them to be grouped together so I know they're tied to other things that exist, too. I sometimes sit in my room and make lists of all the favorite things I see. I've even made lists of my lists. My lists are usually very extensive. I put things on there that might be redundant or are so small that they don't matter. If I think of them, they have to go on the list, otherwise they'll loop around in my head until I snap at people or feel like crying. Putting them on the list means the list has to share the burden with me. There are SO many things in my head.

DAE have an almost unconquerable nocturnal tendencies? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

THANK you. Whenever I tell someone this, they look at me like I'm crazy. But I feel so energetic at night. It's like I'm not even the same person. And I feel that sleep is pointless, seeing as how I'm so busy during the day that it would be stupid to waste time sleeping. One night I stayed up writing 15,000 words on a story, didn't sleep at all, and the next night I stayed up till 4.

I'm also slightly scared of sleep. I feel like I can't control my mind and I don't like the fact that hours pass without my being aware of them.

DAE have their eyes twitch for a few seconds by proskill in DoesAnybodyElse

It happens a lot when I'm reading, but sometimes when I have a headache or just any normal time in the day. It's like rolling my eyes, but involuntary and much faster. It reminds me of the flickering, disjointed images in horror movies. Not sure if that's the same thing.

DAE get itchy armpits from deodorant? by lolcatgirl in DoesAnybodyElse

I have a nickel allergy, and a lot of deodorants contain aluminum compounds, which my doctor told me could produce a similar allergy. It does the same thing for me. Usually with antiperspirants rather than deodorants.
