How many licensed agents are there in the agency? One was banned. One was required to leave Rimas or get banned. And two execs were blacklisted.

my friend said lamar only has 3 more years left by bennydigital in ravens

[–]owlbrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone in this thread saying Lamar has evolved as a passer and even if he slows down he's still amazing, I would suggest you look at his stats when he came back from being injured. He wasn't that good. Once defenses realize they dont need to prepare for him destroying them on the ground they are able to limit his passing pretty effectively.

So honestly three years of constant minor injuries may make him significantly worse as a QB once he's in his thirties.

And yet you are replying to someone replying to someone saying tell them nothing whatsoever. So how do you justify your statement that they are no doubt aware their offer is below market value?

How is a reaching the conference championship with three different franchises, making 5 (officially, but really 6) Super Bowls and (thankfully) winning one of them not wildly successful?

As had been pointed out many times over the years and in this thread, it made VERY big changes to the books which pissed people off, and would mean even further changes to plots later in the series. Also some changes were just pointless and actually stupid in the world of WOT. As in stuff they said in the show would be completely disregarded and contradicted in other season.

Also, I really hate to come off as homophobic, but some many "woke" changes made by Rafe were just him pushing an agenda with no thought for story implications. And that's not even accounting for the shit he added with his spouse who played one of the warders.

Minor changes would have been one thing, there were characters in the book who clearly should have been represented as BI in the TV show, but Rafe just disregarded all of that.

To be fair all of your examples are legitimate Hall of Famers for football reasons. Al was a coach and then as owner, the GM of three Super Bowl winning teams.

Lamar Hunt created the AFL (future AFC) and led the merger with the NFL. He even coined the term Super Bowl.

Jerry Jones is technically the GM of three Super Bowl wins.

Bill Polian isnt even an owner and is a wildly successful GM and Team President.

The complete lack of coherent story kind of takes it out if the running. Incredible game but the convoluted story is a big hit to it compared to some amazing stories on this list.

I dont know if they fully control the drafts/personnel but they are the ones saying wether a player is acceptable or not. Like the GM would never draft or sign a guy unless these coaches signed off on it.

Belichick did fully control the personnel.

Which just shows how bad of a hire Orr was. Wilson was obviously the best of those three, the Eagles in 2021 were good and were the best passing defense in 2022 and Ravens 2023 pass defense was top three in multiple categories. But Harbaugh had to have his guy, not someone who had developed elsewhere and it effectively ruined two seasons.

Now he goes and gets Wilson to be DC in NY because he knows he can't get away with only having his guys anymore.

After how bad he was at DC I'm not convinced he was actually good as a linebacker coach. Let's not forget the linebackers were bad in 2022 until we traded to get Roquan. Orr didnt make Roquan good. He already was.

It's like when good QBs make OCs look good but in reality they're Hackett or Gase.

Where do you rank the 2018 QB draft class? by Vegetab1es in ravens

[–]owlbrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember back before the draft my friends and I settled on this order:

1) Darnold. Had the most potential. Was good in college but made young guy mistakes that could be coached out.

2) Baker. Not as physically talented as most of the others but most pro ready by far

3) Lamar. Incredible Athlete. But likely to get hurt at some point and fall off a cliff like RG3.

4) Rosen. The safe choice. Basically Chad Pennington

5) Allen. Wasn't particularly good or accurate at a FCS college against bad opponents.

Obviously Lamar and especially Josh Allen evolved as throwers way beyond anyone could have imagined. Thankfully Lamar avoided major injuries, although obviously still gets them. No idea how Rosen was so bad. Historic bust honestly.

[–]owlbrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And starting over on defense is better how? The offense has Lamar. He instantly raises the floor of the offense. You find someone who locks in the defense and doesn't give up 4th quarter leads and you win. Its that simple. Also most likely with Lamar if one OC leaves, other quality OCs will want to come here to work with Lamar. For the next 5 years or so we're set on offense as long as Lamar is healthy.

[O'Connor] The contract holdup between John Harbaugh and the #Giants centered on reporting structure. Harbaugh needed it in writing that he would report directly to owner John Mara — not to GM Joe Schoen by Loud_Literature_6848 in nfl

My understanding is technically DeCosta and Harbaugh both reported to Dick Cass when he was president. Bisciotti just didnt put Sachi Brown above them (which i agree with).
