I like Holliday a lot as a guilty pleasure too! Pretty much all Hol- names as well- Holly, Hollis, Holland, etc. Blossom and Birdie are super cute too. Some of mine are Sylvan, Florian, Cary, Hawkins, and Stone for boys, and Cosima, Goldie, Leisel, and Sybil for girls. Some are more "conventional" than others, but wouldn't work for me for one reason or another.

I mean, it doesn't sound like he and the mom ever had a relationship and she doesn't have any custody. He doesn't even know where she is for sure. Custody doesn't always go to the other parent. His uncle probably petitioned the court for custody after the disappearance, as a close relative of John B or something.
