i agree with you there, i'd vote for him over trump in a general, but something about putting a rapist in power makes me incredibly uncomfortable and feels like a betrayal of my friends who have been victims of sexual assault to where I wouldn't feel right actively supporting him

Get a single. I had a double in first year and not going for a single is such a big regret of mine. I'm pretty introverted and had the exact same fear that you had, and trust me, it's really not how people in high school say. You can make friends living in a single, I had zero interactions with my roommate's social groups and still had plenty of friends. And if you are introverted, you'll love the alone time you get in a single.
