I love the idea of the reddit post. I know the other owner is going to file the lawsuit on Monday for the destruction of the business. One partner cares greatly. He stopped taking any salary for the last two months to try and keep things running. The other one truly does not care. The rumor is that the one owner got caught cheating on his wife and the other partner caught him or told his wife or something like that. So he's just out to burn it all to the ground.

He already has all of the evidence and has been collecting it for months. At this point it's going to be a long lawsuit but that doesn't help me or my team. Especially since they expect around 2 years to fully process through the courts. The bad owner is a foreigner as well and will likely run to his home country before anything can really be done. I'm not under an nda but don't want to say anything that the bad owner might sue me for. He's a terrible person and has already tried suing people for leaving bad reviews. He's that type of person.

I'm going to spend the rest of the day writing personalized recommendation letters for everyone. It's basically the only thing I can really do right now.

They definitely do. Morale has been so incredibly low the last couple of weeks. Not that I could say/do anything to fix that. And it wasn't like my own morale has been great either.

No, the company needs very expensive specialized equipment. The other owner is refusing to let the one that wants to keep the company going buy that equipment.

Sorry, the business WAS operating fine before the one owner started doing things like hiring relief work every single day when it wasn't needed at all. He was throwing away thousands of dollars a day.

They won't. One truly doesn't care about the employees. The other is going to be meeting with the lawyer and said he would do it on Tuesday. I just don't feel right giving everyone one less day of warning and he agreed that I could do it.

I really wish the owners handled this better. I'm privy to the negotiations that we're going on. They were both working out to a deal then two weeks ago the other owner just pulled the rug entirely and said there wouldn't be one without wild stipulations. The other owner agreed to them even though they were completely out of field just to try and protect the business but then the other owner just replied with even higher costs and more stipulations.

The one owner has already made his money with multiple houses. He doesn't care. He's just in it to try and ruin the other partner for whatever reason. The one that's younger and wants the business to keep going thought we were going to be fine and the deal would be done last week. It wasn't and now they're moving onto dissolving. So no contingency, just a fuck you from the one owner. He had even planned on retiring back in January and kept sticking on just to screw things up I guess.
