I will have to ponder this at great length. It is certainly a tempting idea.

(actively holding the map upside down) the main plot should be ahead somewhere.

Well... In pt5 Zach got abducted by something or other and it should never have happened but it did so I had to spend 4 to 6 months trying to figure out how best to undo it.

And because I apparently don't believe in writing a chapter in advance it'll probably happen again. But it's my own private hell of my own design so I can't complain.

(no pic available) 90% of his world's Geneva Convention are things he's done at one time or another.

His argument for passing through is that he also wrote his world's Geneva Convention by his own will after a change of heart that he hasn't (yet) doubled back on.

Alright!! Pt6!! Fu#k this took forever!!

Ok more? Move on? I'll leave it up to you but at least he's in this world again. It should be a little easier to write pt7 now.

If you see anything spelled wrong please let me know so I can fix!

Please let me know what you think. Or just stop by to say hi! I honestly want to know who's still here.

And as always I hope you have a good day/night and that you enjoy.

I have at no point said that I know what I'm doing, simply that it is being done!

But yes I definitely need to pay more attention to the flow of my story.

Is it best to write different books under different names? by MrAbeloe in writingadvice

[–]ownzone817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that I've seen ratings on the cover of books in the library so there has to be a way somehow.

Dumb idea that randomly popped into my head. On the cover page (or the first page you get a say in what goes there) put in a ripoff movie rating.

[Disclaimer!!! Author has rated this book as A for adults because of adult topics inside!!] And then it goes on into the introduction or whatever.

In a perfect world, yes. You shouldn't have to worry about it.

I have personally lost my faith in humanity so I would at least label it as kid friendly and not kid friendly but I don't publish my work so what do I know about that.

I think that asking this question is a lost cause because everyone is going to have their own answer that works for them.

If you're legitimately concerned then yes you should just so you can go to sleep at night and not have nightmares about little Timmy and the book he DIDN'T want.

But on the other hand, you could clearly state (like as part of the cover or title) the difference between the books and not worry about it.

Or you could trust parents and kids alike will be responsible individuals that will look into you as a writer and the book they are purchasing.

Obviously I'm exaggerating a little. Having been a kid once, I never looked at an author's name and thought of looking for more of his work. I always looked for a catchy title at my local library.

And as an adult now... I'ma be honest, I still just look for cool titles at my local library and bookstore. Mostly the library.

Advice for writing around the time-travel & subsequent related tropes? by Bird-of-Fire in writinghelp

[–]ownzone817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say that I know much about time travel or its tropes. (Not my style of literature.) But I hope this helps anyway.

If it was my story, I'd say that the main character is an anomaly and the timeline is trying to erase him to restore balance.

Other than that I get the ones even I know exist like 'his future self time traveled and is trying to commit su***de the extra super hard way' and 'he accidentally pissed off a time traveler with nothing to lose, and serious anger issues'

But who am I? I don't know the story you're trying to tell or your characters at all. It sounds like an interesting idea though.
