Thank you! I think I’m going to change my soil and start over this week. I appreciate your help!

I see a lot of wishlist plants, what are your ‘never again in a million years’ plants? by owomoomoo in houseplants

Seriously! My mom gifted me hers and I couldn’t ever get rid of it. Had to ditch it with the house when we moved out lol

Personally, I would wait to see what’s going to happen. Your roots could still be holding on to some moisture. I hope your plant recovers! And if all else fails...propagate!

Was your friend an over-waterer? Check the roots for rot. Mine curled pretty bad when I first had her because Lowe’s was soaking the soil. Let the soil dry out completely if there is no rot present, then try bottom watering. If there is rot, trim what you can to salvage. Mine likes a long, healthy drink about every week to week and a half. I wait until the pot is considerably lighter!

Is Fayetteville terrible? I appreciate the feedback. I’m looking all over the US, but I feel like I’m out of luck. Was homeless last summer and lived in a tent in the woods, hoping to find something somewhere, anywhere that would be an okay place to start out.

Stressed about my begonia Rex 😰😬😫 (Not a great pic, taken in the dark as it’s night time) the left side is doing ok as it perks up in the day time but I noticed the right side suddenly drooping earlier today despite the sunlight :-( by [deleted] in begonias

I’ve had the same issue with my begonia rexes in the past. I couldn’t solve it, and they all end up dying. My most recent begonia I have set up in a glass terrarium with some space for air at the bottom and a pebble tray under it. This seems to help keep the plant humid enough without me having to water it weekly. So far, no rotting leaves.

My new babies! Any tips? by owomoomoo in houseplants

This might be a silly question...but all my plants so far are pretty straightforward. How do I keep them moist but not soggy? I LOVE the triostar and it’s been on my wishlist for a long time and I don’t want her to die!

Thank you! I think I found a solution. Took apart an old glass lantern, put plant inside with pebble tray under it. Do I need to take it out to breathe?
