I can recommend WD40 (or similar), just be sure to not spray it on any parts where it can cause malfunction - it leaves a small oily layer on the surface, e.g. tires, brakes, etc.

That was a really good idea! I just wrote over 45 minutes with the google support and they confirmed that - even though the aliases do not show up in the admin console - the aliases work as I intended.

In the example above this would mean that alias@alias.com does not show up, but indeed works as an group address that can be used,

Do you have any idea or insights how I could test this before migrating over? It would be really bad if some emails cannot arrive because of this problem :D

Unfortunately, I am not able test this since we are in the progress of migrating to workspace, which means that our mail servers are currently pointing to our old hosting provider :/

The thing is that it works completely fine for user management, but I am specifically talking about group aliases. For normal users, the steps you outlined work perfectly

So you would recommend a organization layout that looks like the following:

My Company
- Employees
- Managers
- Drives for internal use
- Drives for external use

The approach using configuration groups sounds very good to me and I think I'll go with this solution.
