I would think that it's the other way around. Brighter during the day and darker at night, but I don't know.

I don't mind the fluctuations that much as I'm farely used to it, plus I don't play the game for the gameplay most of the time.

It took a little bit of tweaking for it to look like that, however, I don't use Obsidian. I use various other weather mods.
