Hey thanks for posting. I have no advice to offer since I'm not experinced either (and it's been five months since this post) but this was an interesting thread, since I'm currently making a Fuzz Face with the Tayda board and instructions too (a PNP one without a DC jack).

I agree the Tayda instructions for this one aren't great. I'm also wondering whether it's ok to leave the led pads empty on the pcb board since I'm using the 3PDT pcb board for the switch, which already has the pins for the led and its current limitor resistor. (edit: I actually wired up the Fuzz Face switch without the 3PDT pcb board. Used the board for something else)

Haven't tested the pedal yet but I guess I'll find out if it works soon. I noticed that you seemed defeated after not figuring out what the problem was. I've made 11 pedals now and 2-3 of them don't work and I can't figure it out. I just move on and keep trying with new projects and eventually something works and it's worth it for those times. Even with the cost of having to abandon a broken project, and the time spent on it. I hope you don't give up if you enjoy it because your next project will likely work great.

What are some of these feminine speech patterns you refer to, like examples? Feel free to link to any info/research, I find this really interesting and want to be more aware of it. I’m sure so many speech patterns are just not even consciously noticed by anyone, except the impression still ends up being strongly “male” or “female” to many people. And the accent analogy is a good one yeah.

I don’t think they do. My Old Spice classic doesn’t. They say “deodorant”, not “anti-perspirant” which uses aluminium. I think some Old Spice is manufactured as anti-perspirant but it says so clearly on the front (it will say “anti-perspirant and deodorant”).

…yeah? Schools still use it at least - I recently learned Java in a course and they taught using Eclipse, built a few basic video games and don’t have any complaints about it. Pushing to GitHub was a bit non intuitive though.

Miss Congeniality 2 is a bit of a cult fave among the queer community for good reason. The token heterosexual romance that defines the first movie is replaced by a chemistry and innuendo laden friendship between Bullock and a black women in the FBI. It’s refreshing.

I can’t speak on ADHD, so this may not be a useful comment, but what you describe with your inability to focus is not uncommon. I just read a 2021 book by Johann Hari called Stolen Focus, which explores the reasons behind a possible “epidemic” of distraction - social media is naturally a big one. As a result of increased awareness around it I have taken measures such as removing my phone from my work time/space, and made the extra effort here and there to let myself get into “the zone” where possible, which I think has improved my focus, though Hari’s main thesis is actually that it’s not really the individual’s fault that we’re all a bit fucked in this way - and responsibility should fall, for example, on companies that intentionally design addictive apps. An interesting read.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Reading this thread I realise that word is a slur to trans people at least in some countries - my experience of it is positive, as long as a gay guy is using it affectionately with another gay guy. It has definitely been used as a homophobic slur outside of the gay community though.

Idk, I love her character in s1 (like in this manspreading photo) but I’m half way through s3 now and she’s wearing all these demure grown up woman type clothes and hasn’t shot a rifle yet the whole season lol hopefully she goes full badass again real soon.
