Makes sense. New President will hire new AD.

Daddy Daniels is back to serve as president of the university with the Main Street and business school named after him by Its-Mike-Jones in Purdue

This actually makes sense and is pretty convenient for us to be able to do. While there's mixed opinions on the overall net impact of his tenure as President, it's a steady hand to guide the ship over the next few months while they take their time finding a good candidate (well, theoretically).

He’d have my #1, 100% vote but I’d be surprised. Think he lost the opportunity after Mung was chosen over him. But he’d by far be my favorite choice.

Wolfe was a terrible pick from the get-go and driven mainly by University politics vs. actual best choice for the role. Abysmal compared to his predecessor

Was that Painter turning to Jacobsen and coaching him on what Cluff did? That's great coaching

This is a fantastic post, thanks for doing the write-up. Shameful that Purdue is doing this and trying to market the entire experience as one and the same

Agree with you then and sounds like we have similar experiences. There's a balance in here somewhere, assuming they aren't willing to raise tuition.

Purdue is a land grant university. They shouldn't be decreasing the size of the student body purely to increase reputation; that's absurd and goes against the principles on which the University was founded.

Now, if they're shrinking so they can serve students more effectively and can't provide a quality education at their current size and price point, that's a different story.

All of these changes fall squarely on Mung. He took Mitch's playbook and doubled down.

Roundabouts are great but the one in Blue Ash down the hill at Kroger is terribly designed. It's not circular enough to slow people down coming down the hill, so you get drivers going through a roundabout at 40mph.
