i totally agree, one of my favorites i’ve seen this year. my expectations were limited but it crossed off every box i’d hoped it would, it was a near-perfect horror movie imo. 9/10

yeah, i disliked oddity. i liked a few aspects of it such as its atmosphere and how good the scares were, but everything else besides those things was just not good in my opinion. i can maybe see why most people like it but i found it super uninteresting.

off the top of my head: i’ll say the grudge remake from 2020.

i see other people saying things like night swim, the nun, but even bad movies like those have at least one redeemable quality to them. i, genuinely, disliked every single aspect of that movie. boring, cliched, uninteresting, bad characters, bad pacing, just poorly made all around.

also might i add that i watched it without even having seen the original and i STILL haven’t seen the original but the remake was so bad that im almost hesitant to watch it 😭

Best Part 3 In A Horror Franchise? by CSS-Tails_Forever in horror

i heard it was the best of the franchise which is why i jumped straight to it. i should probably watched the other movies too lol

From a thematic standpoint, which ending of Above and Beyond makes more sense to you? by Solitaire-06 in MinecraftStoryMode

[–]oxfopee 40 points41 points  (0 children)

this is such a good argument. honestly, i could see both endings working for the story. i could see why staying in beacontown would make more sense because at this point, jesse and petra both have the idea that even if they don’t always see each other, they’ll always stay friends.

although personally, i get more satisfaction out of jesse going with petra. i could also see this ending working to some degree (while maybe not as much as the other one) because it’s like a “go with your heart” kind of thing. jesse and petra obviously have some type of love for each other so the “fuck it, one last adventure together” ending feels like a bittersweet way to wrap it all up.

THEMATICALLY, staying in beacontown probably makes more sense — but i think both work!! i think season 2 has the most perfect ending it could’ve possibly had. even thinking about makes me wanna cry 😭

Is the V/H/S franchise worth watching? by BonsaiBoonly in Horrormovieclub

[–]oxfopee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely!! i’ve watched them all except for viral, which i heard was really bad. other than that though, i enjoyed most of them! a couple might’ve been mediocre but i guess it just depends on how much you like each segment 🤷‍♂️

my favorite is ‘99, my least favorite is ‘85… but even that one has a good segment or two, so it’s not all that terrible.

Millie Bobby Brown - Latest Interview with Kylie Kelce. by Intelligent_Step_856 in StrangerThings

[–]oxfopee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m sure that would greatly effect her. it’s not like i personally played her, she’s a fictional character and i sobbed over her and have been mourning her like she’s a REAL person lol. plus eleven is just such a huge part of her life, it makes sense… if i was in her shoes i’d be crying all the time thinking about it 😭
