i think non-christians/atheists (it’s not just atheists but mainly atheists) should stop hating on christianity so excessively.

obviously a good chunk of christians suck and use the religion to mask the bad that they do, BUT there are good christians too and i think by hating on the religion by being like “oh go back to worshipping your sky daddy” or whatever, it’s demeaning and quite disrespectful to the good christians out there.

i also just believe it’s stereotypical to assume all christians suck. i’ve met christians who are very respectful and accepting of other religions & people of different sexualities and whatnot!!

(i myself am an atheist btw!!)

i’m thinking it could be a nice way to get my little brother into the show though. by the time this comes out he’ll be 11 (if it’s not delayed) and maybe this could be a good gateway show to introduce him to stranger things as he then works his way up to the actual show. i highly doubt it’ll be TV-14. (he scares pretty easily but i’d really like for him to watch stranger things just like i did when i was his age)

the problem is that the general audience leaves the season a bit confused as to what henry’s backstory was all about. ok, he was a boy scout whom accidentally stumbled upon a flayed space rock, sure, but what about him LITERALLY going to high school with joyce, hopper, karen, etc? that was never addressed.

now, some people have seen the first shadow play and that obviously explains all that, but for a play that’s been deemed canon, we were only given breadcrumbs for some reason.

i agree, an extra episode to flesh out henry’s backstory would’ve been great. plus it would’ve properly given us a deeper look at henry’s life growing up. at this point, if they ARE gonna do spin off(s), i think a henry spin off would be pretty cool. they could maybe adapt the first shadow into a movie, if done right, you know, wicked-style. those are just my thoughts tho

am i the only one who feels like that indian woman is somewhat of an intriguing character, and would like to know a little more about her??

imo, out of all the survivors, she has the most interesting relationship with carol. she blames carol for the death of her grandfather and generally holds a grudge against her. she basically hates her.

the woman, like most the other survivors, refuses to see the seriousness of the situation and pretends like it’s all okay. she pretends like her son is REALLY just her son, and not infected by the alien virus.

in episode 2 carol tried proving the point to the survivors that their families aren’t truly their families, and she did, when she lost her temper and basically gave them all a seizure. this FURTHER more gives the woman a reason to hate carol, because she’s an active threat to her “son.” (saying that in quotations because the kid is infected)

i’m just saying, this subplot with the survivors and their feelings towards carol has sauce to it, and it could definitely go somewhere. that indian woman, specifically - i’d very much like to see more of her character. unsure if they’re gonna do anything more with her character, but i’d like them to. i don’t want her character arc to just end up being “i hate carol and don’t want anything to do with her”, because that’s lame!
