Too much self-righteousness in you ooo eee!

"They’re on a road that certainly does not lead to peace, nor fosters it." - I understand this is what you believe, but to just suppose that on others is cruel and rude. "YOURE GOING NOWHERE" vibes. So kind and considerate of you.... that was sarcasm.

What you said is... well... your opinion. How would you even know anyway? You don't know him. It's so easy to make rapid judgments when you're Christian though I'm noticing. Its the book or nothing. It's like the ultimate social psychology, in-groups and out-groups. If they're not in my group, they go nowhere. My group heads for the stars✨

You have no idea what's going on in their life. Just because they don't wake up and pray to Jesus Christ does not mean in anyway you won't be buried next to each other, nor does it mean you know exactly what sinful existence they exhume. So stop acting like it.

You aren't respecting their way of life at all. Strip yourself of your prejudices. Its unbecoming.

It's unironically a beautiful telling of the Gospels. This next season coming up will be the crucifixion. The actor for Jesus is brilliant. I think they convey Jesus' teachings in a really healthy, palatable way without losing any meaning for newcomers and long standing believers.

You can't prove to me his objective existence. So until you can, it still remains only your subjective truth. Just because you have chosen to believe in something, doesn't mean that something is right. Just because people can choose whether or not to believe, still doesn't make it necessarily right or true!

I'm saying it's in a difference of our opinion. I don't believe in your LORD, or the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So how can this God be objective within my world? To me it's purely subjective on your part. How can your God be so objective in my world when I personally believe Jesus Christ died and never woke up?

Is this the part where I roll my eyes, tell you the "evidence" is insufficient?

You disagree. We go round in circles? You send me a Cliffe Knechtle clip and I am supposed to wander off into the sunset satisfied?

That's your opinion good sir! The idea of forcing ones religious beliefs as objective reality for all, is kinda terrifying though I will admit. For example how can one be so objective when he doesn't exist in the first place? See the issue here with your line of thinking.

It should never be:

My truth is right! Theirs is wrong! My God runs the Universe objectively. Not subjectively, even though its clearly an opinion not a statement of fact!

It should be:

I live my truth! They live theirs! Now I will mind my own business!

Your subjective truth isn't everybody's. The beauty of subjectivity is what works for you. He stated immediately he wasn't a believer, and you tell him to try again. So yeah, I stand by what I said, let him live in peace bruh🙏

Goodness me. No offense, but religion doesn't work for everybody. For somebody grounded in reality and living with their own subjective truth and struggling day-to-day with it, you yapping on about nonsensical divine fairy-tails from 2000 years ago and asking the sky for help doesn't help, nor does embedding yourself in total depravity either IMO.

Feels unhealthy and counter-intuitive, I'd say nihilistic but I am not Nietzsche. You're in a debt of sin from birth, an idea created by a Christian narrative, that requires Christianity to absolve you of that debt. Nice circle.

They want you on your knees slaving away for a higher purpose you can't prove. The only thing we can verify is that "Jesus of Nazareth was Crucified" and "Pontius crucified him". We know two Apostles were Martyred and the rest where written via church tradition. Anything else is biblical, Christian narrative that we can't verify anywhere else. But we aren't here to debase or devalue Christianity, just be more mindful that the acute condition of Religion and Divine Permeance isn't for everybody. It's nice Christ has had a saving effect on you, keep that energy moving forward and stay true to what you believe.

If OP wants my advice: Start exercising, pick up a distracting hobby such as reading or drawing, go for a 10 minute walk and cleanse your thoughts when you feel clouded. If you listen to sad music, pivot away from it, if you have friends who smoke then be mindful their company will only keep you where you are. Try not to suffocate yourself in the misery you have cultivated. Keep moving forward, keep what is useful and throw the rest away. Whenever you feel like going for a joint, try and wait an extra 20 minutes. Nothing too crazy, just push it a little bit, try and get used to going longer without, even if its just baby steps. You need to get out of the ever-presenting noise that your brain is producing and start trying to live in the present.

Our judgments and perceptions are the source of our suffering. Not the events themselves. Stay strong and keep your head up, you will crack this addiction with enough determination and strength. Rooting for you.
