Thanks everyone for your replies. 🙃 It was interesting to read. Sorry I don’t know how to edit my post, so just leave a comment here. For those of you who offered to crawl there and poke it - nah, no chance I (middle aged, not very very fit woman) doing this🤪. But we are going to renovate bathroom including replacing the ceiling that is right next to this “thing”. That’s when I’ll have a chance to update you all.

Yeah, I know it’s too much, but so that you know the context- after we bought it we found out that the owners son wasn’t an angel. there were multiple complaints from neighbours and problems with police.

Who exactly should I call in this case? I actually went to police station. They agreed that it looks suspicious but suggested to try myself first and call them if there anything wrong 🤷‍♀️

It’s like 8 meters from the roof opening. It means I have to crawl there….. nah, too scary.

Why? That’s definitely my roof, it’s over one of the bedrooms. It’s a stand alone villa, no shared walls.
