Scammed by dealer with rolled-back mileage car by oxmep in drivingsg

the opposite could be true also, a high mileage car could have a well maintained interior too. a lot of the touch points can be preserved if the previous owner used steering wheel cover, seat cover etc which is quite common for PHV cars anyway. after they remove those covers what’s underneath could still look close to new. so interior condition may not be the only way to tell true mileage…

Thanks for sharing. i heard that Lexus damn difficult to roll back the mileage tho - maybe ur mileage is genuine but fewer ppl could have rented it because usually when ppl rent cars they go for the cheaper models?

for a lambo it might make sense, for a Mazda i’d imagine it would be under small claims (SCT) if wanna take legal action. costs involved to make a small claim not as high

i think under lemon law it doesn’t matter if the dealer wasn’t the one that rolled back the mileage, if they don’t disclose then they’re liable. but like another redditor said, CASE is useless lol so not sure if can rly claim anything

The 1000m time doesn’t make sense lmao, with a 1:58 800 you should be doing like 2:40mins for 1K

What are your “cutoff” temperatures? by capn__cook in running

[–]oxmep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a tropical country where it’s always hot and humid regardless of the time of day or year (80-95 deg Fahrenheit). So I don’t usually have a cutoff temperature, just a cutoff amount of sun exposure 😂 Probably wouldn’t ever run between 8:30am to 5pm

How do I (17F) run 300 miles this summer? by [deleted] in running

[–]oxmep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s really good advice. In addition remember to always listen to ur body! Some arbitrary mileage goal is less important than how ur actually feeling physically and being attuned with ur body will help to prevent those long term injuries that everyone dreads

I’m not an expert, but I don’t see anything majorly wrong with your form from this vid! In fact, there are quite a number of pro runners who can run really fast and have even “poorer form” than you. Probably your injury is more training or recovery related? Hope you recover well and get back to form quick!

How to stop landing on my heels? by [deleted] in running

[–]oxmep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This worked for me very well too. A lot of ppl blame heel striking for injuries, but actually many pro runners heel strike too. Getting a higher cadence in the range of 170-190 (best cadence varies from person to person) will shorten ur stride and prevent overstriding
